I also think he was average. He had a Typical Taylor day. Hopefully next year we don't have to deal with it and we can talk about Darnold/Rosen.

This.

Or Mayfield, Lamar Jackson....

i cant believe we're still bottom 10 despite all the improvements. really highlights how bad things were.
- Sabresfan-365

Odds are all about who is getting the money placed on them. Toronto at 14 to 1 is a joke. They're not that close...yet anyway.

Sabres are definitely better. Playoff bubble team.

I think we're going to be good this year.

So now we are left with Gorges, Antipin, Guhle, Falk, Fedun, and Beaulieu all vying for the 5/6 slots

I would guess that part of Antipin's deal was that he would be given NHL minutes..why else would he have come over to play for the Sabres..

Falk and Fedun are almost assured to be starting the season in Roch

I don't see Gorges being sent down to Roch, probably be the 7th d-man

So that leaves Guhle and Beaulieu for that 6 slot....which sucks because, since JB traded for Beaulieu, I would have to think Guhle gets stuck in Rochester

injuries happen and he may be the first callup

Lamar Jackson scares me for some reason. Probably because of RG3 and VY.

He has been downright amazing though this year.

Johnson and Bell might be, but I think if they were all 25 yo, I'd take Shady.

I still can't believe we were able to trade for him

- sbroads24

it was a great trade, for both teams at the time...don't forget, in 2013 the bills traded down in the first round and picked up an extra second-rounder...they used that pick on kiko whom they traded for shady

loved Mayfield vs. buckeyes...his arm-strength might be a problem, however

I can only imagine what Irma was like at full strength. Getting hit pretty good in SW Atlanta now.

Don't you miss the Regier/Rolston tandem? Hard to believe the two of them were in charge of the Sabres as we started the 2013/2014 season, only 4 seasons ago. Think of all the changes and lousy hockey we have had to endure over the past 5-years. However, I too have faith in Botterill and Housely. I wonder what the Sabres would look like today if Botterill got the job instead of GMTM after the Lafontaine/Murray fiasco?

No Kane. Maybe no RoR, hard to tell. No Bogo. Probably more draft picks being used instead of traded. No Lehner. McNabb would be here and D-Lo would not. I wonder if the drafting would have been different as well. I don't see Botters passing on the Sergachev for Nylander. Wonder if we would have had Leon...or the worse of the two Sams.

Someone needs to write a parody of "we didn't start the fire" about everything that has happened to the Sabres since Pegula bought the team.

honestly i think it might be trading risto for someone who can handle the minutes. Any other trade leaves you short at a position and requires you to trade twice as much.

I was watching him last year. He's a mix of Drew Brees and Tim Tebow. Not sure if he is really good or a fierce competitor. Definitely a big player that makes big shots in big moments type. Not likely to let in a dribbler when it matters most.

Its so funny to see how you and Broads completely did a 360 on Risto from last year. You were creaming your jeans about him for every blocked shot or passing the puck to a winger. The archive doesn't lie. Unfortunately, credibility takes a hit from a bus unless you come clean. You're Little Finger and I'm the 3-Eyed Raven.
