Jake has had plenty of opportunities in the NHL with talented linemates. I know you love the Baertschi Horvat Virtanen line based off of the one preseason game but it's more likely that was an anomaly, similar to his one 45 goal season. The reality is that it does matter who you play with and how many offensive opportunities you get and how lucky your shooting % is among many other factors when determining if a player is legit or not.

The NHL is full of examples of players that have put up unsustainable points/goals/play for a season only to fall back to reality later.

Do you remember Jason Blake? Clarkson etc.

I will be entertained that hopefully management is doing it right. With the additions, I hope that when injuries hit. The team won't suck bag. Too badly.

I don't chime in here often but I am most looking forward to the change in style that TG wants to play. I don't care if there are growing pains with the kids as long as we can see development. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching Bo develop and become a leader, I hope Baertchi or Granlund can grow in a similar fashion. I like Virtanen and hope he can show something, I am not discounting the TG factor with him.
