From what Green says he has a huge board in his apartment of potential line combos he is looking at.

A board in every room in his house wasn't it?

He claims to know one of the towel boys or trainers or something of that sort, but really, who cares if he wasn't liked, apparently he thinks no team in history has had a player the other guys didn't like.

It happens all the time, from my experience.

- LeftCoaster

My friend has a friend, who is one of the asst trainers. He won't give her anything.

Her personal trainer is also the asst trainer for the jets.

I want to be optimistic too but realistically this team just can't stay away from injuries and it will bite us at some point.

Even with Vanek Gagner and MDZ I still have us finishing around 24th.

- LordHumungous

I was thinking on the way home. This team sort of reminds me of the first year WD was brought in. Playing to win and not playing, not to lose like the last 2 years.

WD was his own downfall, in going into a shell with the team.

No idea, playoffs to me is a reach.

I also think TG will get some schooling from his counterparts.

Injuries and the old guard buying into the new system.

I'm sticking with bottom 5.

Well, what should we debate about today? I'm (frank)en bored. This town sucks. If I didn't love my fiancee, I wouldn't have moved here with her

Couple options
1. Does Alex Burmistrov really have a chance to make the team even as a 13th forward? https://public.tableau.co...2JK6Z9?:display_count=yes

2. Is Michael Del Zotto a good fit to play with Tanev. https://public.tableau.co...8GC9G9?:display_count=yes

I'd rather see him in Europe than in the OHL if he doesn't make the Canucks.

Would a Euro club want him if they know he will jump back to North America after one season?

Even if that's accurate, today it would probably be a different story.

~Two new Russians on the team, in case he gets homesick

~An influx of new players on the team

~New coach/system

He might also be a stereotypical Russian kind of guy, so if that's the case. Good riddance.

Again if he's a legit top 4 dman he should have made Hutton look better than he is, clearly both of them suck unless carried by a legit top 4 dman like Gudbranson was by Campbell and Hutton was with Tanev when he finally started looking decent at the end of the season. Anyone who watches the games could see this.
- Nucker101

I would counter that anyone that watches the games could clearly see Hutton was dragging down EG. I watched 82 games and it was obvious even for a fan new to the sport. EG disapointed, but pretending he was the cause for Hutton's atrocious play is absurd.

Sign this guy up before the TML can. Bring him over with Tree, and Dmitry Zhukenov. Zhukenov has only played 3 out of 9 games in the KHL this season. He should have stayed to play in Utica.

Your hairdresser must be better connected than Scooby's to be getting all these juicy details.... honestly this this first time I've heard he was hated by the locker room. Do you have anything to back that up?

Like I said, I don't know the details but it doesn't really matter, one of our better young players decided he didn't want to be on this team and ultimately that's on Benning, fair or not.

- belcherbd

really? I have been saying this since March and knew he was leaving to the KHL before the end of the season. For the record (since he isn't with the org anymore), Ben Cooper told me.

If he wasn't so arrogant and stubborn, picking fights with everyone then he wouldn't be so bad, but he's so argumentative all the time. 😠

Hutton and EG just aren't a fit. The entire team sucked last season except for a few. New coach, new system, new year.

I think Jake is getting it, but like any 20 something kid (in life for that matter) there will be bumps along the road. I think we have heard him say the right things, but at a certain point maturity catches up with you and you understand your actions define you not your words. He will make the team this year and will have a 3rd line impact, or at least that is my prediction. I think he can grow into a 2nd line power forward who plays with edge and gives room to the more skilled forwards on his line. He has an NHL shot and if he can get in position to shoot a lot he could put up 10-15 goals this year I believe TG wants him to succeed. Therefore he will be given many chances to be a productive player, and work his way up to a consistent offensive threat. I think if put with a guy like Gagner he could have a nice run.

I don't think so. Supposedly all players with an NHL contract are not allowed.

Didn't know if because his contract could "slide" for another year.
