I thought Demko was supposed to be some kind of Uber Goalie prospect ? |
|
|
|
The Oilers are finishing up the second period on the PP.
Carcone just had a chance to go for his hat trick on a shorthanded breakaway! |
|
|
|
That's a wrap on the second.
Total shots through 40 minutes are 29-15 for Vancouver.
Vancouver outshot Edmonton 13-11 in the second but got outscored 3-0. |

Hey Reveen it's a team game not a one player game. And this thread isn't like Henderson's thanks for understanding. |

In goal for Vancouver to start the third, former Penticton Vee Michael Garteig.
He gets a nice cheer from the crowd. |
|
|
|
Pressure from Edmonton right off the hop.
Garteig stops a point shot from Paigin but Ostap Safin buries it up high to increase the Oilers lead to 4-2. |

Excuse me, first off it did answer your question, there are 5 other players that should assist with the defending.
Second "my boy" doesn't need reeling in, and I suggest you stow the attitude. |

Understandable. |

Garteig is seeing a lot more rubber here at our end of the ice than Demko did in the first. I'm seated right behind the net, so it was tough to get any kind of a read on those goals in the second period.
Oilers are back on the PP after Kole Lind takes a slashing penalty and one again, we see an odd-man rush the other way by Carcone. I think we can call him an energetic penalty-killer! |

Since I got heat for quoting myself yesterday, I'll put this in a separate message.
The third A today is being worn by Danny Moynihan, who's centering the fourth line.
Playing on an AHL contract, he had 52 points for Alaska last year in the ECHL. - Carol Schram
Rules are rules, Carol.
Glad to see that you are a quick study. |

Pollock's a decent prospect. 21 year old, former 45th overall pick.

He's definitely all over the ice today . |

Quick whistle there.
Much like yesterday, the energy in the building here is dropping as the third period plays out.
There are some fans here in Oilers jerseys but there hasn't been much intensity to engage either side this afternoon. |
