Whats the grassroots info on the arena ? The media is all in a frenzy and it seems that its a "proposal A" vs "Proposal B" fight over taxpayer gouging. I am suprised Burkie isnt pulling his 25 cent and a payphone BS he tried here

- Tigersmyle

I believe Burkie was told by Ken King to shut his pie-hole on the matter, he doesn't speak for the Calgary Flames franchise

They've got three billionaires who own them, build your own (frank)in arena like the Canucks did.

Glad to see Laplante at main camp . He sure channeled his inner "Rypien" taking on Hunter Smith and sure did well !

I'm honestly the wrong person to ask about that stuff ...I'm from bc and moving to the Fraser Valley so tbe flames moving to Seattle isn't the worst thing for me lol even though I give it about 4% of happening

Exactly. You're billionaires. Build it then generate some goddamn revenue. Everyone gets stingy with spending when the economy and dollar are still at low points but come on.

Hell no, I'm not leaving Maple Ditch and $hit Meadows, just to move further away from work. Not to mention if you want cheap real estate, it's all in the Chilliwack/Hope/Bridal Falls/Agassiz area.

Glad to hear Green is bring his practice expectations to the big leagues.

Also nice to hear a prospect say the coaching staff communicated their expectations effectively.

I'm just glad this coach decides to turn up to practices!
good start.

Willie was known as a good communicator too, but i like that Green is working them hard. I think challenging this group is a good move.

1st line wingers never get demoted to the 4th line. Besides, gagner is getting 2.5 to play on the 4th

I would counter that anyone that watches the games could clearly see Hutton was dragging down EG. I watched 82 games and it was obvious even for a fan new to the sport. EG disapointed, but pretending he was the cause for Hutton's atrocious play is absurd.

What the hell were you watching then?

They were clearly dragging each other down, Hutton has never looked worse with any other d partner he's had.

They were both atrocious, I'm not singling either of them out, just goes to show that neither can handle top 4 minutes unless paired with a top 2 dman.

Gudbranson is garbage, that Benning paid a 1st & 2nd rnd pick for, he's nothing more than a #5 dman. He's fine for the right price as he adds toughness in the fighting department, although he played 30 games and had 18 minutes in penalties of which almost half was from one fight. Which says he's not a physical or mean guy for a big man.

So he apparently had good playoff series for Florida, well whoopty frickin do, Steve Penny was great for the Canadiens one time as well, and so was Jim Carey for Washington.

I thought he was injured last year?
i'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt, that we haven't seen him really play to his potential in a Canucks uniform.

might be a bit pre-emptive on Guddy, but then again, maybe not

He's played six years, 339 games, in the league, that's half a career for a lot of guys in the league. In my mind what you've seen is what you get. There's no miracles within this kid.
