correct Virtanen will be an NHL player, Subban will not
- CanuckDon

(frank) you ass hole! You have no (frank)ING idea about Subban. It's people like you who hold little people down in this world. Little people with big hearts!

It's your closed mindedness that make this world such a god awful poop pile of a planet, with piss seas and puss clouds.

I love how I get a ban for calling a guy a clown, yet this goes on all the time.

Plenty of solid NHL regulars, play bottom 6 and don't get a ton of goals. Look at half of Pittsburghs Forward lines.

- Crazybagoham

That's crossing the line!!!
I hope you had a lengthy ban for being so vicious and mean.

Virtanen has decent size, a solid shot and he is a greater skater. He has enough tools to be a strong bottom 6 player. Bottom 6 players are extremly important. Just look at the Penguins cup run. Are you encouraged by 19 points in the AHL? I mean, if we are comparing him to Jared than I guess it's acceptable. I think he will have an NHL career I just don't think he will live up to his expectations when he was drafted. Why do you think this is a crazy opinion?
- CanuckDon

The AHL doesn't impress me at all.

I'm impressed with his 7g, 6a, 13pts, and 45pims in his rookie NHL season. If you have NHL stats to base your opinion on why do you keep looking at AHL stats?

Last time I checked they are two different leagues that many pro players say has a completely different playing style.

It's not a crazy opinion. Never said it was. Just seems an overcritical view on someone who's had decent NHL numbers considering the circumstances.

It was 72 hours if I remember right , more than enough to time to take a long hard look at my actions and how they affect the hockey buzz community.

He might suck in the AHL but are you sure he'll suck at the NHL level?

If Alex Burrows or Jannik Hansen can succeed in the NHL Subban could too.

Just? Then you don't know me.

Look, burrows was undrafted and played in the ECHL. No possibility of making the NHL until someone gave him a chance. Jannik was drafted in the 7th round, last player selected I think. Again, chances low, opportunity given.

That's all I'm saying.

incorrect, both EARNED their way into the league, by being hard workers and great hockey players. You clearly aren't much of a Canuck fan if you think those two were gifted any opportunity in their career.

Subban is neither, if he was... he'd be in the league.

“He has got to be able to defend at the NHL level,” said Green. “It’s as simple as that. But there are little things in his game, an NHL pass compared to an AHL pass. When NHL players pass the puck, it hits your stick and it sticks. AHL players pass the puck and the pucks wobbles and that’s a little, tiny thing to a lot of people, but it’s a big thing.

“You have to make sure it (pass) is not rolling.”

This is why a ton of good players never make that next step. If you can't take a hard pass without bobbling it you don't deserve to be there.

He really transitioned to playing forward well.

What is wrong with you people with the "You clearly aren't much of a Canuck fan" type of bullpoop. (frank) it's stupid.

I never said gifted, I said opportunity. His open letter talked about working hard and busting his ass but lots of guys in the minors do that. He mentioned there was a opportunities given because a coach liked what he saw, or the team was rebuilding, timing, luck, etc.

Not knocking either guy, just saying sometimes when someone is given an opportunity the run with it.

And (frank) off with the superiority attitude.

All fine and good, yet management will shovel out $2.6M on a PP specialist that sometimes gets questioned for his 5x5 play.

Sometimes players get thrown into doghouses and have a real hard time getting out.

I just watched that again the other day. I gets funnier every time I see it.

The 'never go full retard' may be one of the best movie lines ever.

Maybe you, Subban, and Virt should start a support group.
