For years mine was Blazing Saddles, and then Planes, Trains, & Automobiles.
I don't go for comedies much anymore. But I can't get enough of Curb Your Enthusiasm. More into the satire these days. |

Just? Then you don't know me.
Look, burrows was undrafted and played in the ECHL. No possibility of making the NHL until someone gave him a chance. Jannik was drafted in the 7th round, last player selected I think. Again, chances low, opportunity given.
That's all I'm saying. - bloatedmosquito

But there is definitely room on the roster for some goals from our defensive group. I don't care about goals against. All I care about is goals for.

Based on his 2 seasons at Utica and 4 seasons in the OHL?
His stats look good to me. Weird that he produces well in the CHL, get drafted into NHL, and then produces in the AHL, and yet isn't really a good hockey player. OK, whatever.
So canuck drafting failed again. Great. |

If you don't score you don't win. We had 178 GF last season. The team that had the most was 278 GF and they won the Stanley Cup.
We had 241 GA and the Pens had 229. Not a huge difference there. We need to score to win games it is that simple.
When your leading scorer only has 52 points and barely makes the top 100 you are not good enough.
The top 30 points scores in the league all have one thing in common. Their teams made the playoffs.
We were second to last in the league in goals for. We sucked. Bottom line goals win games. |

correct Virtanen will be an NHL player, Subban will not - CanuckDon
Did you watch them play at all last year? Subban was flat out better for the Comets. Doesn't mean he'll become a NHL player but i'm starting to question if either you really watch the games or if you know how to make obvious observations when watching hockey. |

I agree with you in that I want this team to be able score lots but the idea that the team or players that score the most win the most only holds water last year. Many championship teams did it while not being top of the league. Many ways to win.
You are also mistaken about the top 30 scorers and their team's making the playoffs.
Scheifle, wheeler, Seguin, Benn, Zetterberg, carter. We're in top 30 point getters.
Skinner, Laine, Lee, Scheifle, Carter for goals were all in top 20.

But the point is well received. Goals are good.
5 goals by the canucks would be a fun game to watch, regardless if it's a win or a loss. |

So true if your goal is to win games.
At this point in the rebuild I don't think concentrating on wins is a good strategy. Luck dictates a team can play a solid game and still lose. Management and coaches should focus on assessment of organizational talent, team and chemistry building, and situational experience for your youth core. Gaining confidence through goals and points and personal achievement is a great way to build leaders and difference makers.
Plus this is still an entertainment business. Give the fans some goals to cheer for while this team muddles through rebuilding. |

I've said it before here, to much disgust but I don't care that much if the team wins a championship. As a fan I want to be entertained and be able to go into the playoffs with a hope. I can see why winning is everything for the players and mgmt, but fans don't win poop, it's not their trophy. |

This site was founded on claims that aren't true at all.
I believe that could be considered irony. |
