Is that recent? Kid does not look happy - Retinalz
What's to be happy about with Sakic at the helm?
The ongoing bs is not his doing. |

Well you didn't add much value, just a chirp that I won't bother responding to. You said Subban was better in Utica than Virt. So? Not disputing that at all. Regardless of their play in Utica, Virtanen will be more likely to carve out an NHL career. - CanuckDon
Point is that both are long shots to be decent NHL regulars.
Just funny how you have one pegged in as a lock to be a solid bottom 6 player and have the other conpletely written off when logic dictates that both still have upside to be depth players but could easily end up never amounting into career NHL'ers. |

I don't think you know what the whole Nuck4u meme means. He'd be arguing against my statement |

No, he'd make a statement then as soon as someone agreed with him he'd start arguing with them. |

One is likely a career AHLer the other a true prospect.
JV has what it takes if he goes for it 100%. |

Well Subban is an extreme long shot in my opinion due to his size and defensive deficiencies. Virtanen can at worst, hopefully carve out a decent career as a bottom 6 guy. I'd think most on here agree with this sentiment? I'm not exactly taking a controversial stance on this one |

Then that only progresses into his condescending explanations of his strangeness of War & Peace posts then its onto questioning those who reply with statements. Nothing more than an argumentative tail chasing scenario ensues. Nothing can begin & end.
Always ends up in a spiral to nowhere... |

Agreed on Subban, I think they should try him out at wing tbh.
I really think people here have JV's realistic upside confused with what they think is his floor, not many guys with his lack of development since being drafted end up become even good 3rd liners. I'd say at best that's what he's going to become now. At worst, he's out of the league and in the AHL or bouncing around to a few different organizations as a reclamation project. |

I absolutely agree regarding Subban. I don't think he will ever defend at an NHL but he certainly has potential up front. I got roasted earlier for saying something similar re. Virt lol.
I am slightly more positive about Virtanen than you...but only slightly |

Waste of time making a Subban a winger in every regard.
Folly to even think he has a shot at outplaying other prospects over an experiment that would lead to nowhere. He's not Brent Burns nor even close. Fodder
Ppl can keep on reaching so the Subban love in survives.
We really need another wussy upfront. |

I agree on the not making him a winger bit. We need an offensive minded dman much more than another tweener forward regardless how much of a long shot Subban is.
Subban is on track or ahead of where most guys picked in the 4th, he will likely get a shot or two in the bigs this year.

He's destined to help Utica win for the long haul at best.
Until the boy understands what D is its a given IMO.
He falls farther n farther down the depth chart every draft as it is. |

Who says he has to be Brent Burns?
And what's the worst that can happen? You already agree that he's a bust as a dman so if he becomes a bust at froward then no loss, right?
And where the hell is this Subban "love"..he's arguably the most hated prospect amongst the regular posters on here. People have been calling him a bust since last year when he was 21 years old...damn that's a lot of love.
As for having another wussy up front, it's funny that some of the posters here who prefer having toughness/size are the same ones who defend Benning for picking OJ over Tkachuck and constantly praise Benning for adding Goldobin/Sven/OJ/Pettersson to the organization....those guys are all soft as (frank). McCann/Shinkaruk are 100% busts that Bennign smartly traded away, yet we need to give Virtanen/Goldobin more time.
Double standards in this thread are hilarious(not saying that I'm not guilty of this sometimes, but i try to be objective, just so happens that this GM makes a lot of moves I don't like). People like Booner think I'm a Gillis fanboy, but i ripped his drafting, hated how long he took to move a goalie, hated some of his signings/trades. Hated that he stuck by AV for so long.
Call a prospect/player for what he is, stop caring which GM drafted him, where they were born and how many fights/hits they have. |

It would be a pleasant surprise if Upshall makes the team and strengthens our4th line and PK. He has to be better than Magma and Chaput? - CanuckDon
i've got a bit of hope for scottie too. he worked his butt off for the blues last 2 years
unfortunately for everyone, dorsett is "healthy" |

Dorsett will play 17 games then his career will be done. Too reckless and just can't stay away from injuries. |
