Having Tyrod as the starting QB is like having Derek Roy as your #1 center.
Yes he's decent, but you know you aren't winning with him - sbroads24
Derek Roy was much better at the Hockey than Tyrod is at the Football. Seriously not even comparable.
More like having Brian Holzinger as your #1. |

For Risto-
If people want to credit Housley with the D being more active and playing a style more suited for this team, we have to acknowledge that there is a good chance our PP is worse with a new coaching staff, which would effect Risto's numbers.
If I had to guess
Risto- 9
McCabe- 4
Bogo - 4
Bowling - 5
Scandella - 3
Antipin- 6
Gorges/Guhle/Falk- 3 |

more productive isn the same as more goals. You're far more likely to see an increase in goals with more ice time than less. all changing the time on ice will do is lessen how badly they get their poop pushed in defensively.
Genuine question, is there any d-man that scored 9 or more goals last year at 18 mins of ice time? - Sabresfan-365
Idk I can't figure out how to search it. My point is Bogo is underrated as an offensive threat. 1 year removed from scoring 7 goals, I really believe he'll score 8-10, that's assuming he plays 65 games, which I recognize is a big if. Still, you don't score 10 goals in this league by accident

Eh, disagree.
In Roy's prime, he was probably around 25-30 in terms of centers.
That's around where Tyrod is as far as starting QB's.
My point was that niether Roy or Tyrod are bad, just not good enough to take us where we need to go |

His career shooting % is 4.5%.
When he had 7 two years ago, it was 5.8%. When he scored 10 it was an insane 10% for a D man
He's averaged around 2.14 shots per game in 21:59 ATOI
Which means unless he's playing a full 82 games, or all the sudden getting a lot more shots on net, he's probably staying at 4-5 goals with 20 min a night |

In this system he'll get more shots so the sh% will be less of a factor. Plus, in Bylsmas system, he wasn't shooting for goals the way he will be in this rush oriented system. |

Dude, there are 4 active centers for each team in the NHL, every game. the NFL? 1 QB per game barring injury.
4x30=120
So, Derek Roy was 30/120
Tyrod Taylor is about 30/32
Huge difference.
Derek Roy was a very good player for us, and over a 4-5 year span. There is literally no argument here, he was a legit #2 forced into a #1 role and did an effective job.
Tyrod is a RB playing QB. And he sucks. He hasn't ever not sucked. |

Bogo has 49 goals in 534 nhl games
averages out to be 7.5 goals per 82 games
the problem is he averages 62 games a year |

I think youre getting too hung up on the Roy part. My whole point is that Tyrod isnt good enough. I'm not his #1 fan |

Yeah, most of our shots were generated in the offensive zone on a set up though. Bogo on the rush is gonna be a different beast |

You serious he is a journeyman QB once he's done with the bills he'll be out of the league 2-3 years just like the rest of the running QBs .. the running type QBs are going one by one - GERBE!!!75PTS
So what was that you were saying about RGIII?
He was the epitome of a running QB. |

The difference between the top and bottom isn't as great as everyone makes it out to be.
Edit: The vast majority of the league are within 3 shots of each other per game, yes, there are really bad teams that take like 24 shots per game, but like 23 teams take between 29-32 shots per game. 28 teams were within 5 shots. |
