The kicker i believe is we have 50 contracts & scoop a player on waivers we gotta expose someone to waivers. We lose some trash or send him to Utica. I like it š - Nighthawk
According to capfriendly we have 47 out of 50 filled. |

Burmistrov was on waivers last year. He looks better than some of our current players. - VANTEL
That is NOT an endorsement of the waiver wire. |

I'd say the end of training camp is the best time. It's not like you get a game changer, but you can get a young prospect. kirby Rychel is a guy I mentioned. Nothing shiny about the guy, but he's done ok at the AHL level and is young. |

I agree about up grading plugs but it's the fan base excitement over a waiver pick up that makes me laugh. - Marwood
When you have nothing every thing is appreciated. This is a last place team we take what we can get. |

Detroit with their cap troubles could offer up a decent waiver pick up to clear salary. Idk who off hand but just a guess on my part. |

I love how signing players who were previously on the waiver wire, to contracts the following season, suddenly removes the scraps title from their name |

So who is better Burmistrov who was on Waivers or Megna and his 4 goals that came up through the AHL
He had 14 goals last year . That is one more than our 6 million dollar scraps Loui Eriksson |

Going back in time to my best hockey pool draft ever...
10 ppl entered my top 5 picks were:
Lemieux Pens had a bad back & he slid to 8th pick & had over 100 pts
Francis Pens also over a 100 pts
Stevens Pens
Leetch
Nedved Pens ended up with 99 points
Suffice to say the season was over in no time.
Never came close to that or skilled enough to touch that again.
The stars were aligned & idk what the other 9 poolies were drinking. |

Signing Megna is a whole different issue.
Signing LE to a 6 year contract, again, is a whole different issue. |

He is an enigma. The kid produces at the NHL level and can't stick with a team. I think he's been on 5 different teams in 8 NHL seasons. Some of those teams being really bad yet his career totals aren't bad.
473 gp, 131 g, 82 a, 213 pts. with a career +13. |

Anyways Wpg and Arizona are loaded with offensive power I understand why they let him go and he looks okay here so far |
