Boeser, Burmistrov (during the first game), Virtanen and Juolevi have all impressed me so far.

Subban/Holm are the main reason they let in 9 goals imo, they were definitely playing offensive hockey

A couple more years in the minors and Subban might be pretty good, he is only 22, maybe when he hits 25 it will all click, in the meantime we have a depth guy/ PP guy for the minors. Glad to see Subban actually do something.

and anyone who watched was certainly offended!

It's dead time. So here's something new to look at from all the recent discussions.

There are no real centers for Comets to develop all these kids this season. Plus depth call ups for injuries. Look at the thrown together line up yesterday. Showed how the lack of real centers degrades play from D to offense. JB should push for a trade asap on some young guys that can fill in for Comets now and have potential to grow with team. Whether that is trading D or wingers or NHL roster players.

Some examples of targets below that range in talent and ability to aquire now:

http://theahl.com/stats/player/6354
DANTON HEINEN: Local kid who's improved like Guadette. But B's need a LW not C. Send LE back & retain $ if only lol. Maybe Sven could work with pick return.

https://www.capfriendly.com/players/jansen-harkins
Jansen Hardin: Another Local kid who played with Cougars. Ready for next step in development in AHL. Jets need to make noise to make playoffs. Send them what works for them now.

http://www.dobberprospects.com/nicolas-roy/
Nicolas Roy: If JB goes bold to send Canes needed piece to return Canes to playoffs then he could target Roy for return. Canes have a lot of C tied up to big contracts so could spare him. The Kids size is better suited for Nucks division. Could lead Comets off the bat.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/h...went-off-radar-spotlight/
Anthony Cirelli: This kid would be a great fit as well. Bolts are so stacked at Center with skilled players that they have them playing wing. Maybe sending D prospects may get Bolts to bite. Perhaps selling Tree's rights with a mid pick return as well.

Do one of the above trades. Plus grab a kid like this below for secondary filler at center for Comets. One who is buried in a system and could do better with opportunity.

http://www.hockeydb.com/i...s/pdisplay.php?pid=152972
Chase Lang: This Nanaimo kid should be easy to acquire. Could prove he's better then someone like Cassels now.

I went to school for a long time and I've got 27 years as a professional engineer under my belt, I think I've done enough reading, enough that I can be very selective now

I agree, I'd rather lose 10 to 4 then win 3 to 2, 82 games of the year. A 0-82-0 season with a GF of 250 would be awesome even if the GA is 300 or more. 🖕

I 100% agree.

I want something to cheer for during this rebuild and I just can't get behind a veteran lineup. Give me goals and some exciting young prospects and they have my attention.

Otherwise, what's on the other channel?

Contracts and specifications don't count. I think reading those can actually make you dumber after a while. I know it's made me quite numb.
