This article is on point with what's unfolding now at camp.
http://nhl.nbcsports.com/...ke-the-leap-brock-boeser/
I'd add that skill players need their timing to show their offense and getting in games helps that. I don't think Rodin and Goldy prepared enough to get ahead this offseason. But BB's time at Da Beauty League is paying off after young stars warm up. JV on other hand just needed to stay committed to cardio and bring it to stand out. OJ is in toughest position having to show up in pace, timing and physically. His cerebral play won't shine unless in structered game flow. Dahlen has no real expectations this season other than adjust to NA game. But is a write off for now with mono recovery.
But all the above will be crucial for the rebuild this season. Whoever cracks the line up and has an impact out of camp or later in season will give a jolt to the turnaround.
Discuss or add in some morning hate for those who need to jerk it off. |

Why is it always a one or the other, there seems to be to many Tanner thinking people in the world - Makita
It is sad. Tanner would fit in nicely with the likes of clowns like Botchford, Gallagher and such. |

Tanner is the most classic blogger troll there is. Only writes controversy because he knows he will get a reaction, and get the hits. Half the poop he writes is probably not what he actually thinks |

Alright, that's cool then.
You can be a fan and not have blinders on, I think it's hilarious when people get their panties in a twist when a fan is pissed at the way the team he loves is being run. Like it doesn't take any care/passion to get that upset in the first place. - Nucker101
I don't get pissed at all. It is mostly true.
You are right though people get easily offended when you say something anti Canucks |

Yeah, I think most fans knew the decline and dark days were coming, but I think the team did a horrible job of trying to make them go away faster, they tried to delay it and ironically, all they've done is extended the window of suckage by trying to "protect the kids". Sad part is that they had more protection than actual high quality prospects. - Nucker101

the china roster is 100% about getting the vets together for some sweet sweet bonding
no one in china would have a clue who any of them actually are - BobBot
The stadium will probably be 50% westerners. People will know who the Sedins are |

Either way, I bet you the rink will be as quiet as a church on Sunday. Chinese are not known for their wild enthusiasm for sporting events. |

I saw the post on the massive humidity issues in the rink in China and the Nucks had to practice in the fog?
Could Miller maybe help with the humidity problems? |

For sure, I still think it will be interesting and a great experience for the players. Assuming they don't frank up their lungs in the smog |

I think it's stupid but that's my opinion. Going into countries where there is not a chance in hell the league is going to have teams seems like a colossal waste of time & energy. Not to mention the adjustments of flying back and forth from Asia for the players. I've hated this gimmick from the beginning and am grateful our team is so poopty that it won't really impact the season. |

Going to china as a sponsored guest is the right way to do it. I had a buddy who competed in the Olympics and he said the hospitality was insane. Red carpet treatment all the way.
So I'm guessing another reason why they are taking a veteran group is a sort of gift to the guys who have been around the longest. Families get to go so it's going to more of a life experience for everyone than a meaningful hockey game. |

I agree I think its stupid aswell. It's going to take alot out of the players with the time change and all, especially the goalies. Its why i think the NHL sent two non contenders If you were trying to promote something why not send the stanely cup champions and pres trophy winners |

I spent the extra 50 bucks to go up to the third ball of the Pearl Tower in Shanghai and could barely see the buildings across the river it was so smoggy |

the league and players can all profit from growing the game in China (even if there are no teams there). I think it's a great idea and the players should be honored to be going. it sucks that they will have some jet leg but they should harden up |

Help? No, he'd want the fog. It would give him a built in excuse for the one or two untimely goals and the eventual loss. |

It's remarkably stupid but we live in a Bettman run NHL world for the time being.

Hopefully the time change screws them up for a month and they start 0-8
