Hayes can't be on the team simply because I get confused reading "Hayes" and "Hynes" in the same paragraph. |

I really enjoyed Dyblenko and Muller's game. They were solid and their positioning was sound. Unfortunately, we might not see both of them in the opening night roster but hope to see them both in the future. Bratt is slowly becoming a fan favorite. Every time he's on the ice you see him flying all over the ice. He's noticeable not just because of his skating, but he's constantly around the puck and getting himself set up where the puck will be.
It was a very watered down Caps team, but its evident our speed this year will surprise the NHL and hoping the poise and fluid skating of our D stays consistent. Love watching Butcher skate. He oozes confidence with the puck. |

Mueller has to clear waivers so he is very unlikely to be sent down. Expect him on the opening night roster. Dyblenko doesn't have to clear and is likely to start in the Bing.
For a team with horrific defensive concerns they generally looked pretty good.
I mean it's one preseason game against a watered down lineup but it was still nice. |

we need to start a petition for thinner arm stripes.
i know i'm making it a bigger deal than it is.. but who wants to walk around wearing an eyesore? zero part of me wants to purchase one of those jerseys. a shame. |

Just start a petition to go back to the old jerseys. |

I would rather trade one of Wedgewood or Kinkaid for a pick then lose one. I think to the right team we could get a 3rd for either one. |

The striping definitely will take some getting used to, but I'm in the minority of Devils fans that don't mind their new jerseys, I might even say I...like them.
I will say that if they made all of the changes they did but left the stripes on the arms and socks the same pattern as the old jerseys, I think fans would be much much less angry about it. |

Mueller might surprise, low expectations type of player that still has relatively high potential. |

To me Mueller and Butcher are the real X factors as far as the Devils potentially exceeding expectations this year. The additions up front with MoJo and Nico are more obvious places to see improvement but the Devils blue line was a train wreck last year. If Butcher, Mueller, and an improved Santini can step in and be really solid, it'll be a huge huge boost for the team. |

think the arm stripping matched with the stripping on the socks and actually looked kinda cool.
and the one thing i did notice is the speed. as a whole the team looked very quick. someone else said it and i agree. They will surprise teams with their speed. |

I agree. I've been getting chirped non-stop for stating that they belong on the Devils to start the season, and will go as far as to say that they should be considered for the second pairing. Moore has some strong attributes, but should ultimately be left as a bottom pairing. Lovejoy and kapla can compete for the 6th D. And hopefully Hayes never plays for the Devs |

The arm and socks strips just seem too big overall. Plus the black stripe on the jersey bottom gets completely lost with the black pants. It's kind of a half assed throwback to the Newark Bulldogs anyway.
But screw it. It's hockey and not a fashion contest and I don't think the Devil's Jersey came out any worse then most of the other teams. On the plus side the throwback Christmas Tree Jersey is going to look even more special. |

I agree the arm/socks striping seems big, but I think once the initial shock of it being different wears off it's sort of cool and a bit more unique. I agree the little black stripe gets lost in game action with the pants, but whenever I do see it I think it's a cool touch. The whole Newark Bulldogs thing is silly, I'm just looking at it purely aesthetically. I think the shoulder cut and collar are legitimate improvements.
I guess I felt like the old Devils jerseys were very classic and looked good but they were also very default-hockey-jersey to me which is why I'm more down with the new ones. The best part of the Devils' uniform has always been the logo and that went untouched. |

I agree 100%. I am a big Wedgewood fan but unfortunately after Kinkaid signed that 2 year deal i see him being the backup. I believe 100% Wedgewood gets picked up off waivers, and by the Leafs if they are able to. |

Depends on what happens with that whole Joffery Lupol situation.
Edit: Never mind. Lupul withdrew his chance to appeal. So I think you could be correct. |

If both Kinkaid and Wedgewood have to pass thru waivers they might want to send down Kink and loose his higher salary. Plus Wedge is three years younger.
I think Wedge made it past waivers last year so who knows how much interest he'd attract. |

exactly. the thickness of the stripes is an eyesore to me. it's not balanced and looks forced and goofy.
maybe i'll get used to it, but right now I question anyone's sense of style in any capacity.. from attractive cars to interior decorating to matching clothes.. if you think those jerseys look good haha |

CAPS watered down ?
When the prospects played PITTS and Boston those were not real prospects either but we lost both of them games big.
It does not matter whom you play it matters how you play. ESP. PRE SEASON.
Nico will get a strong winger to protect him no worries.
Possibly WOOD.
Bladisi looked very good .he played center which is strange as we have
Zacha , Nico ,Boyle and looks like MOJO all playing center. also possibly Henrique .
So why Blandisi at center???
Hall-Mojo-Palmieri
Henrique -Zacha -Stafford
Wood -Nico -Noesen
Blandisi -Boyle -Hayes
