Random thought but since it was brought up a couple times in the last blog...If they're serious about the younger players playing and winning together in Rochester it makes some sense to give that 3rw spot to Griffith this year. Certainly seems capable at least short term |

Probably wouldn't hurt to have an AHL all star play in the AHL. |

If there was no fantasy football, no one would give a fvck about the NFL. People care more about their fantasy team/s than they do about the team they "actually" root for. Sorry to say it but that's a fact. I have watched maybe a full game of live Bills or NFL action in the last 19 years. I can tell you what though over the last 3 years, I'm 120 games over .500 with the spread. I'm consistently in the money in my pickem leagues. It's all about the cash for people when dealing with the NFL.
Why do you think it's going to Vegas(NHL included)? The league is 10 yrs away from a "Rollerball" scenario. - dadeadhead
Eh. I think you're partly right.
I also think being in Buffalo makes you care less about the NFL in general.
If we were Seattle Seahawks fans, we'd care more about the actual results |

Totally agree, as even moderately decent rappers back in the day would tell full stories in their songs. That's a long lost art. - kingcong39
There's a few that still do.

Only to ignorant people it does.
Music has no color.
Blues is as African American as it gets, tell me Clapton and Stevie aren't the blues through and through..... Tell me Led Zepplin and The Stones are influenced by the Blues. Tell me Floyd and the Beatles weren't influenced? Jerry Lee Lewis either, fvck how about Elvis or Cash? What about Dylan? Sh!t if not for the Dead there's a whole list of songs from the 1800's we'd not be privy'd to for fvcks sake. All are blues based (slave music).
Music has color to racist a$$holes who are more the n word than any color is because of their ignorance.
Music having a color is like saying Religion has a color(and I'm far from a religious person). Neither has a color. Both are spiritual and should be embraced.
Music having color is about as racist as saying only black people eat fried chicken.
Neither are close to being true. - dadeadhead
lol, love the undertone in this post

Rap was groung breaking as it opened the minds (for those that wanted to listen) to the struggles of the intercity people.
There isn't much out their in all genres that's ground breaking anymore. The fresh sound is dead.
I have 20 terabytes of music spanning from classical to today and the last 15-20ish years is rubbish IMO. Nothing really eye popping or mind expanding. Can't remember the last time I heard anything original. Heard many artist play in a way to bring me back to the 60's music and how I feel it would've felt to hear that era for the 1st time (Sheep Dogs, The Deep Dark Woods, Dr Dog, Delta Spirit, Buffalo Killers, ect). Again it's been 15-20 years since we've heard ground breaking music IMO. - dadeadhead
Haha, no. Maybe you should stray away from the mainstream.
Vaporwave was groundbreaking, created by a trans-female around 2010. You think that person isn't proud to be trans? And who are you to take that away from her? It was born from his/her mind and it should be acknowledged.
Gorillaz was ground-breaking and the new album is fantastic.
Amy Winehouse. Arcade Fire's Funeral. White Stripes. Radiohead. Kendrick and the Black Hippie crew. There's a lot of genre-breaking and era-defining music in the last 10-15 years.
Just like hip-hop, jazz and the blues are black in origin, it doesn't mean no one else can do those genres, but who are you to take that away from them? It was born from their oppression and culture, it's absolutely black music and you're sitting here trying to call me racist for giving them their due? Right. |

I mean, this is something I've spent a lot of time reading and studying. I will debate this til the end of time, and at the same time not imply someone's racist for logically explaining their conclusive opinion based on several years of intense study not of music theory, but of the intricacies of music and the cultures it's born from.
Music can have a color and still be universal, but to deny ethnic origins is just another example of white-washing. |

Hope that's not what you think I was doing.
As I said I have 20 terabytes of music from all genres.
I don't see music as color based.
Did it start off that way for people? Sure did. Does it still? Might for some but not me. If I enjoy it I play the fvck out of it. I don't care who or what color they are.
The scene from White Men Can't Jump where Sidney tells Billie he can't play Jimi Hendrix basically because he is white always irked me. |

Reading that some of you will never tailgate, go to a NFL game, blah blah blah...
Stop being cheap and buy better seats if you're so above the swill. There are plenty of families and decent people down in the lower bowl. Pay to park closer to the stadium, and get there earlier to check out the field house. Everyone thinks they're so much smarter and better than the drunk arsehole. - 51_Killer

You took the words right out of my mouth.
Holy crap, I'm not sure why I decided to back read today. Definitely was a bad idea since 0 of it pertained to hockey at all. (Not that it has to, but I feel like both of those conversations got out of hand). |

I get what he's saying to a point, but why should I have to spend more money just so I don't have to worry about getting puked on? That seems more absurd than asking for adults to, I don't know, act like adults in public.

That right there is exactly the problem.
And it's not just here, the whole conversation got started when I found an article about a fan being puked on by someone at the Giants game the other day. |
