As for Scherbak, he has skills but his decision making is way too slow and he's completely lost in his own zone. I'm pretty sure I saw a defenseman show him he had to go cover the point when they were stuck in their zone.

He had a good second half of season last year in St.John's. I still think he has potential, and would have benefited last night from playing with other guys than Eisenschmid and Froese. He's the kind of guy that's not going to be of any help on a bottom 6 line.

It's top 6 or bust. More likely bust.
