Just a feeling but does anyone else get the impression Nilsson will be the starter 25 games in?

For sure, maybe earlier - interesting to see what both of them are capable of. Uncharted territory, as neither have ever played much over 30 games in a season.

Markstrom looked really solid in North America. I'll give him and the rest of a team a pass on the silly China games.

Chatfield had some of the best underlying numbers for D in the OHL last year. If he can give half of what Torey Krug has given Boston, I am down for signing Chatfield as an undrafted D.

He had some great partners last year in Serg, Day, Stanley - It'll be interesting to see how well he does in Utica, I thought Brisebois looked good last night as well, he quietly plays a solid game. Holm on the other hand, needs to go home.....

He has stood out for me on the D corps for the prospects. When Holm, Subban, Juolevi have all looked a bit sketchy, Brisebois + Pedan + Chatfield have looked more steady to me throughout the preseason games.

The first three goals LA scored were all pretty fantastic shots, it was only the breakaway goal that looked terrible.

Yeah Holm just looks out of his league - he's made some of the worst giveaway passes I've ever seen - and he's slow as f#$k, guys have been flying around him. However, I'll give him credit, after every big mistake he's made, he usually has a great bounce back shift, where he either scored or has come close. The dude got a pretty vicious shot. On the other side of the pond, I'm hoping Weircoich gets to play on Saturday morning.

Chatfield isn't on my radar. He is an undrafted D+2 signing. I have no expectations for him. I assure you I've seen enough of Subban to know I don't like him as a player. Keep reaching

Linden:

"Subban had a real good year last year, offensively. I think he's understanding where he has to be on the defensive side of things and just that consistency and bringing that consistent work level to practice and his professional habits.
When you're undersized, you need to figure out how to defend and Jordan has done a good job with that."

You should give Linden a call and let him know you don't like Subban. Linden's obviously missing something.

The canucks need your vision right now. For the love of god share your wisdom!

half the sht that comes out of Linden's mouth is all sunshine and flowers. starting to realize why we didn't hear from so many past team presidents, they really don't have much to say.

I found the Van/Cal game more exciting than the China one. Pace was obviously much different. However, watching Tanev, Del Zotto, Edler and Guddy was light years better than the kids trying to defend. On the forward side of things, I thot the kids, mainly Boeser, MacEwen and Goldy really showed great movement and not such a predictable PP. I also found once MacEwen and Archibald were put together in the 2nd, they reeked a lot of havoc on the forecheck, could be a great combo in Utica this year. Rodin was pretty much invisible, Goldy didn't touch the puck that much but when he did, he seemed to always make something happen.

It's a bit concerning that a new coach, who is somewhat oblivious to the history of these prospects/players, withholds Goldobin to the 2nd fewest ice time out of all the Canucks. I am not sure if it is due to his play, or he is just getting missed, but Cull and Green seem to reward players with more ice time based on how they think they are playing.

Yes, Linden should stick to what he was hired for. To stand there and look pretty.
