I think Pominville on Eichel's wing is going to be just fine. The guy made a career at being at the right place at the right time, and that's really all he needs to do on Eichel's wing. He also probably hasn't played with a center anywhere near this good since Briere, and even he wasn't as good. - buffalofan19
I absolutely agree. The problem is more or less on the left side though. We have a plethora of RW and very few options at LW.
I also said the same thing about Eichel being the best center he'll have gotten to play with in the NHL. I liked Briere and all, and Parise and Koivu aren't slouches, but they're also not Eichel. |

So last night, 3 receivers that were on the Bills roster last year combined for 14 catches and 276 yards. That's depressing. - buffalofan19
Does Sammy count for last year? He was pretty much out all season.
I liked Goodwin and really hoped he could be an effective downfield threat, but he can't stay on the field.
Woods always dropped or fumbled the ball when it mattered most.

NHL.com had a nice little preview on the Sabres today. It's nice that they didn't just say 100x that we're going to be terrible.

Fake News... They cite special teams in the first sentence. I've been led to believe that these don't matter. |

Special Teams are like the Queen of England. I mean, she's there, but who cares, it's not like she has a point. |

i wouldn't gaurentee that.. we aren't just gonig to be handed him for Borgen and a 3rd.. we would have to give up something like risto.. the only way he makes us a ton better is if it is for guhle and a high pick.. |

but without him we are drafting top 5 again??
we don't need a quitter on this team, stay the course next year Nylander and maybe Middlestat will be here...maybe even Guhle. I like where we are going, let's not trade the future away like Tim did. |

as i stated in a different message the only way i see him making us better this year is if we use guhle.. and i don't want to do that considering how thin we are a defense depth.. |

The only one I care about is Watkins.
Someone brought up a good point that if he left in FA, we'd probably be able to get a 3rd in compensation anyways (Following year I know)
But still...... |

Especially with how much D-men are valued, No way I'm making that trade. and Based on JB's history and how he likes to develop players I'd say it not really likely. stay the course draft D this year and keep building, I think we are a fring playoff team this year and 2 years from being contenders.

Plus, fans would probably be happier to watch sammy for this year and let him go for nothing than watch this abysmal offense for 16 games, and yet we're supposed to be stoked about that 2nd round pick who will become some average (hopefully) linebacker.
I don't care about 2nd round picks if it means I get to watch tyrod become captain check down |

he'll have to pull the trigger at some point though. its like goldilocks with this team.
Darcy waited too long, Timmeh was impatient. CapperJay's gotta wait for just the right moment.
This year 50/50 we end up with a top 10 pick. If its outside of that the odds of the draft yielding a top 4 guy immediately are pretty low. That plus drafting heavy on forwards due to BPA last few years makes me think one of the bigger young forwards will have to go to bring that D-man in.
That or is there a d-man from western new york who's about to hit FA? |

I think the goal is really to have 3 really strong scoring lines. The problem is we have a lot of question marks at W, especially when you take Reinhart off of one and put him on the dot instead. - HonkFortheGoose

Hey I don't judge - Sabresfan-365
I'm not judging but I don't live it, either.
I understand it's a whole new world out there, and I don't have any problems accepting the decisions other people make for themselves. Hell, within the last 2 weeks one teen-age friend of the family came out as gay, and another teenager went public with the early stages of a transition (Aiden is becoming Maya).
To each his/her own, but I yam what I yam and that's all what I yam. |
