He absolutely is, just in a limited role. Hes probably best suited as a 4th line guy who can move up one temporarily but right now there aren't too many options. None of the kids have really seized that spot.

Let them all play together, kick ass together and then kick ass in the nhl instead of having their confidence poop on by scoring 1 in 20 or something this year.

Griffith IMO is more of the Schnieder, Grant BS we've dealt with.

I don't want him here, but I think the league should look into what's going on in Toronto. I know he deleted the comments he made and all that, but something isn't right. If the league actually did it's due diligence like they should, they would investigate it regardless of his retraction/apology.

I agree but Griffith at least has shown he can generate some level of nhl scoring, possession, passing etc. Grant and Schneider never actually showed that, people just thought they could.


In the event that this team is hanging around a playoff spot come deadline day i would think this would be the obvious area jbotts would upgrade as it would make relatively big difference without costing too much.

I do find it interesting we were in (rumored) Bonino. Either they don't really want Reinhart at center or felt that Girgs/Larsson arent good enough to solidify that 3rd spot

Someone I know golfed with Delauriers at the alumni tourney, and said Bylsma was in fact friendly with the players.........except for Delauriers and Gorges. He said Bylsma literally ignored those two, but treated the others pretty well

Perhaps on a personal level. I just remember PHam saying that it didn't seem like anything Girgensons did on the ice was good enough/right for Bylsma. He ripped into him during practice constantly. And you could for sure see it impacted his drive/competitiveness.

Girgensons is the type of player that relies on instinct, which was showcased when Nolan was here. Now I get that a good coach has a system they want played, but there has to be some wiggle room in there as well. I just don't think Girgs fit well in a Bylsma system.

Its probably a mix of both. Its not so much that Reinhart cant play C its that if you take him off the wing you're running some fairly unbalanced lines. Its something id want them to consider in the playoffs when everythings about match ups but for now not really.

I think Girgs/Larsson are okay for now but in a perfect world they probably want someone a little better in that role. Thats not to say one of them cant take that next step but on paper they're not ideal candidates.
