I suggest going to https://www.reddit.com/r/NHLStreams/ and seeing if there is a blackhawks thread with a good link. Not sure about preseason but I watch basically every regular season game this way and people usually post very high quality streams.

Should be a link tonight either Django or Mike

No shame if Hinostroza becomes a solid third / fourth line player. In Q's system, that usually means a few cameo appearances on the first or second line, and that is fine. The fact that the Hawks want to get younger and faster .... well he's pretty damm fast and is still young. Fast on the forecheck was something lacking last year

Kris Draper is the best 4th line center I have ever seen.

Darren Helm was the best 3rd line center in the NHL for many years.

If he can be one of those, then that makes Chicago a better team.

No huge surprises as these were the guys that pretty much didn't have a good chance of cracking the Hawks roster this season. I thought we'd see the cuts yesterday, but here we go.

I figured Knott would get another game with how well he played.

Watching Jokiharju the other night, seriously, if he does not pan out as a d-man, they should try him as a winger. Kid has all kinds of slick moves with the puck.

Based on what I've seen.Knott may have an NHL future. purely as a lower line guy.

That's good feedback. Not to compare the two guys at different stages of their career, but in his younger days, watching Duncan Keith came out of the penalty box and was at wing a few times for part of a shift. I wondered how he'd fair as winger. He was so agile out there.

I'm out of town on business, anyone know of a good streaming site for the hawks game tonight?

I use this a lot:

http://firstrowi.net/

You have to close a lot of pop ups but once you get to the game, it's fine from then on.

He looked very poised as an 18yr old playing against (mostly) NHL competition. Slick skating, great puck control, and good instincts. He looks like a keeper!

Rockford is going to have a very good team.

There were some solid prospects re-assigned, I'm sure we'll see some of them in the next couple of years.

Agreed. The team in Rockford looks a lot deeper this year compared to last year.

Totally agreed, Bowman has really done a great job of re-building the depth from the bottom 6 down.

Gotta tell you guys, the hawks didn't play pretty the other night but they played wth more pushback and more physical engagement than I have seen in a long time.

Ditto on the earlier comment about challenging the points on the PK.

Lots of big, willing kids who can skate like Hayden, Rutta, Dauphin, Knott. And even some of the smaller guys like Hinostroza and Highmore were tough AF to play against and going hard to the net.

This year's team is going to be faster and much more game like our Canadian friends say then we've seen in this generation of Blackhawks hockey.

I hope they're physical without the addition of dumb penalties also I hope possession numbers go up even though they have concerns at the face-off dot.

Interesting that Lupul is going to be checked out by an independent 3rd party physician at the request of the league.

Wonder if they'll make Hossa do it too or make it standard practice for players going on LTIR.

hawks get an early in his career Daren Helm type of player with Vinny H at 30 plus pts .....that is a huge win for the hawks. They need that kind of player

When was the last time you saw the Blackhawks play a complete game with no turnovers?

I think it sends him back to Rockford, if I remember correctly he did sign an AHL contract with them.

Yep:

I just got a bad feeling that Svedberg is going to make the team. Something like:

Keith - Murphy
Kempny - Seabrook
Svedberg - Franson
Rutta

Seems like Forsling needs more time in the Rock. Svedberg is LD. Has the reach. Ok on the PK. I hope they add someone else but it could happen.
