Pretty much, the supporting cast isn't good enough to allow them to be the secondary scoring. Only Bo(and Sven potentially) have a good case for more minutes than them. The rest simply aren't better offensive players.

Maybe Brock takes the league by storm in his rookie season and slots in as the RW to take the Bo/Sven duo to the next level and really supplant the Sedins.

In regular season last final games BB was still better than Loui and I am sure come regular sason JV will hit harder than Vanek and be a faster skater still.

The D pairings from last game. Hutton and Stecher looked good when they played in the Ozone. Not so good when the other team had the puck.

As for the defence, I really can't decide. MDZ and Guds were okay. Tanev and Edler show as a first pairing but don't play like it. Edler and Stecher aren't a first pairing, neither is Hutton and Tanev.

Not sure sure if it has been mentioned but what's everyone's opinion of the nhl sending two teams to china to showcase the game to a new market and then proceeding to call a thousand penalties throughout the game ?

Did anyone watch the game ? Was it decent or have zero flow and probably just confuse tbe hell out of any fan who wasn't a longtime fan already ?

I think the League knew it had to be consistent with the slashing/faceoff violations. They had the Lion Mascot and Fin Mascot demonstrate every penalty before the game to the crowd so they knew what they were in for. The Arena looked to be about half full anyway, not really sure China is super invested in hockey yet.

The whole debacle is a Bettman joke. Why send two teams that will both most likely miss the POs? If you want to sell the game why not send Pittsburgh and Nashville the two teams from the cup final? Or send Oilers with McJesus vs the Caps and OV?

The reffing is bad enough as it is now they have two dozen more rules to implement...the whole thing is a giant fu**ckin Buttman joke.
