boucher def waivers. Upshall doesnt seem to have earned anything at all, but then why is he on china trip? There just might be a plan for him even though I think there shouldnt be - SMBDragon
Personally, I think it's because of his PK ability and a bit of grit. Better to have a vet play PK in most circumstances. I agree he hasn't done much to excite anyone. |

Bounce back year and he gets moved in the off-season after the Sedin's retire. You heard it here first! |

Good points ...D are so Odd ...they all develop at a different rate than the rest
Kylington was able to go to Stockton as a teen and had a pretty good year as a 20 year old so my bias is that I like being able to send them - Redmile247
I do think that guys playing in pro-leagues have an advantage going into the AHL as they have already been exposed to stronger more mature players.
I think people forget how young a lot of the players in the CHL are. It's easy to look dominant at 18/19 when playing kids a couple years younger.

I'm hoping for 20 goals, 50 points so we can trade him. I really don't care where or for what at this point. His contract is our worst IMO |

I spotted McKenzie in a pic from practice this morning, so he's still around:

It looks like you're right, that he hasn't been signed to a contract yet. I imagine they could ink him to an AHL or ECHL deal if they choose, or he could play an overage year back in the OHL?
He got a bit of first-line ice time at one of the Young Stars games. No one seems super excited about him, but I would think they'll try to keep him around. - Carol Schram
Thanks for the info. |

I think he should be playing on Horvat's wing and will bounce back as well. Last year sucked for him and that contract will really suck in a couple of years but I wouldn't be surprised if he leads the team in points this year. |

I bet he would end up on Cgy if he went on waivers, you guys love out cast offs |

CHL is so watered down for guys that are probably at a level above ...CHL is smart to have this rule or all their top end talent would be elsewhere
