I would also love to see a Yamamoto vs Gaudreau smack-down.

Pretty curious to see how Puljujarvi responds to the pressure Yamamoto is putting on him. I'm not opposed to sending both down to start the season as I'm comfortable running:

Maroon- McDavid- Strome
Lucic- Draisaitl- Caggiula
Jokinen- RNH- Slepyshev
Khaira- Letestu- Kassian
Pakarinen, Malone

I'd still very much prefer Strome to be kept away from McDavid until his next contract is signed, but I think he's bound to get a start there at this point.

Yeah fair enough, I just think, realistically, the goal is to be an elite team and hopefully win a Stanley in the next 9 years. I think the Oilers have the core pieces to do it, but not the depth in talent, and will be facing some cap challenges and we need to be realistic about this goal may or may not be achieved.

I have been around long enough to see how these dingalings get excited about new prospects and a new scouting staff, and the only reason for it is the kids haven't failed yet...not because it's a can't miss group.
