Well then we see a difference of opinion. I don't want to see Virtanen in a 4th line role. - manvanfan
Shouldn't take long on this team to move up a line or 2. He can bump out a player or 2 from top 9.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Green go with players that are playing well get more icetime |

Why break up speed and chemistry to try to insulate two 37 year olds ? Let these other lines begin new partnerships . Let the old guys play out the year against other teams third lines and give them their solid silver hockey stick on the last game as a retirement present.
Don't delay yet another year. - VANTEL
Ideally i agree with u bud but realistically does the opponent?
If they were our 3rd line this year we be a great team would we not? |

Yet you are willing to put the kid BB on the roster? or is BB beyond having concerns about, as our golden child?
BTW I am a fan of Boeser, just find your comment a little bit . hypocritical.
If either one of Brock or Virtanen are top 12 forwards in camp, then one or both should be on NHL roster. - Renidrag
Would BB be in the AHL for any other team or is he that good to be in the NHL?
I think using BB as an example is not a good one but does not apply to JV. |

Is winning now more important than the future. I agree with Lefty on the getting a high draft pick. I could care less about winning now |

Watching the Sedin's together is what brings the hate these days. - manvanfan
Idk about that. We were spoiled in their heyday & we the fans r not used to being so horrible. Some have short memories. The cup runs were fun & the picks lost by MG & lousy drafting & all the NMC/NTC's are what was left for JB to turnaround. We just gotta take it on the chin for awhile.

The NDP announced the new leader for MB. Native. 10 years ago admits that he beat up a cab driver, spent time in jail, beat his wife. Had a drug and alcohol problem. Reformed now though. - manvanfan
Our right wing Premier got a DWI in Hawaii & yet he appoints our own AG.
Did he step down? Lol |

I love the Sedin's. Watching Sedinary over the past 16 years has been amazing. I also know that Sedinary has become something of the past. I still think they have a little to offer, just not together. Others feel they should be left to their own island, while the boat sails away. |

When JV moves up the line up who is he going to play with? Who on this team is actually going to help him score? If you put him with Bo he's probably playing 1st line minutes.

DWI is a minor offence compared to assault (twice). |

TG has said on more then one occasion that JV can earn a 4th line spot on the roster. Then expand his role from there getting more comfortable in the NHL. It's fine if you think JV isn't ready. But consider that TG doesn't give handouts and knows JV better.
There are a lot of possible line combinations right now with players versatile enough to play center or wing. For example, one combo that hadn't been mentioned is Sven Granlund JV. It worked with Vanek. But JV would add more speed and back checking there. |

I dont care what line hes on. As long as he gets more then 12 minutes of ice a game and is put in some offensive situations ill be happy.
All the waiver eligible players should go to Utica. - Dragon4U
If JV makes the team on merit & is a 4th liner fine. Many ebbs n flows in a game & a season doesn't mean he is stuck there. If he plays well he can move up no different than Burrows or Hansen did. If he struggles he can be sent down. Some ppl simply see some things in a vacumm without other possibilities that can occur. |

He might help out the Sedin line, although I don't think that is popular opinion around here.
The options are limited on this team for sure, but playing with a winger like Baertschi with Sutter on 3rd line or Granlund maybe.
Could always try him with Megna on 3rd line. lol |

No, horvat actuality started on the 4th line and moved up, so it's not like he'll be stuck there. TG knows virtanan from last year and doesn't give handouts so quit worrying about things so much, you need to think about the big picture and not just for the now.
If you think about it a bit then you'll realize that there are tons oof different combos at center ote wing, we could even put Sven with Jake and granlund. I mean if Vanek can play there then why not Jake
Sometimes i think you're just telling me bs stories to try to rile me up like some type of troll. Discuss |
