Omg Bears beat Steelers
Omg Blackhawks play Stanley Cup champs right away
Omg Nobody wants to say what condition is Toews back
Holy Cow If we beat the Penguins, it will be next to stealing two points without Toews in top form. But hey look at the Bears....They just stole a victory. Johnny B Good please! |

They're the Wiggles - Australians ... dunno, was way after my time - but you see the around the TV down here from time to time.
I never progressed much past Powderfinger and Cold Chisel/Jimmy Barnes myself -but I only moved here when I was in my early 40's.
Haven't caught any of the pre-season games apart from the highlights. Probably should get the NHL package again, as commenting on the highlights isn't really that useful to anything. |

Absolutely love what I have seen from Ruuta. Big and does a great job with his stick. It extends his range. He keeps the puck carrier well away from the net. He has #4 potential. Could not say that about Rundblad |

Hey JJ, thoughts on Oesterle as #6? Seems he would get taken if sent down through waivers. |

They are an Australian children’s music group with a TV show on in many countries.
I was watching them one day with my 4 year old granddaughter - and I remember feeling sorry for these older musicians/singers who had to be scrounging around doing a dumb kids show because they couldn’t make it in the real world of entertainment.
Then I looked them up online and saw that they have this wildly successful childrens’ Wiggles brand that they started in 1991- from TV, DVDs, CDs, etc. - was grossing AUS$45 million per year.
I stopped feeling sorry for them. |

JJ 2 things first as we get closer to the opening day and hossa and rosie going on LTRI have you heard any rumors on what the hawks will do with that cap space, besides probably signing Franson. What can we expect with the future considerations from Vegas, draft pick, prospect or one of their d man that they have to move.
Would like your opinion on my opening day starting lineup:
Saad Towes Panik
Sharp Smaltz Kane
Hartman AA Hayden
Bouma Kero Wiggles
Extra forwards totoo jurco
Kieth Murphy
Kempney Seabrook
Franson rutta/pokka or d man from vegas
Crawford
Forsberg
Keep up the nice work JJ!! - Scott1977
Saad Towes Panik
Hayden Smaltz Kane
Hartman AA Sharp
Bouma Kero Hinistrosa

The original Wiggles were former musicians/pop band members who met when they were studying early childhood education. They were actually teachers for a bit while they were making children's music albums. So those guys weren't really scrounging around - they were merging their two passions together. The current guys in the Wiggles are likely just musicians/singers but idk really. I remember Emma (yellow) had other kids shows.
People are going to regret making typos that lead to these types of tangent discussions lol |

I’d like to see Hayden make the team, he’s earned it even over Debrincat (albeit the play different roles) |

It's interesting and this is only conjecture but we've been talking about who can replace Kruger, but Q might be thinking about it as who can play the Bolland's role. Based on how Q has been stacking the lines the last two games, this makes a lot of sense because Q has been using Anisimov like Bolland.
This means Anisimov facing high QOC in any zone like Bolland, freeing Toews to face 2nd lines and Schmaltz to face 3rd lines more often. Kero get the defensive zone starts but against the lowest QOC ala Madden. It's not the 3 pure offensive lines rotation we were used to 2013-2015, but two strong offensive lines and one that both check and can chip in with a 4th that just needs to do their job of being hard to play against like in 2010.
Now, this doesn't work if Debrincat is moved onto Anisimov's line, as they were running in the practice today. I don't think that experiment is going to work tbh just because the Hawks don't necessarily have a Kruger replacement yet (Kero isn't there; Dauphin hasn't been used as a center yet; though Kampf is a wildcard). They're currently just more suited to deploy lines with Anisimov as a Bolland than anyone as a Kruger imo. |

I don’t want to put a ceiling on the kid but I’d expect Hayden to start in the bottom 6. If Debrincat starts in Rockford (which is likely) then I’d expect Sharp to play with Schmaltz and Kane.
In the bottom 6 I’d say Anisimov and Hartman are locks. I think Hayden has had a better camp than the rest but it’s a strong possibility that Kero, Bouma and Wingels will make the team. I’d expect Tootoo to make the team, he’ll be the 13th or 14th forward. |

Tootoo making the team - for what reason? No team will claim him on waivers so shipping him to Rockford is no risk. Q can bring him up for games where they need some fisticuff toughness in the lineup.
Same with Bouma, if he doesn't fit there's no real risk to be waiver claimed. |

Because Q wants him and wants that type of player on the roster.
I’d like to see Bouma claimed, but my guess is that Q starts with a veteran lineup. If any of the vets can’t cut the mustard there will be call-ups later.
Saad-Toews-Panik
Sharp-Schmaltz-Kane
Hayden-Anisimov-Hartman
Bouma-Kero-Wingels
Jurco, Tootoo
Defence is far more interesting. Keith, Seabrook, Murphy and Kempny will make up the top 4. I think Rutta makes the team as does Forsling. I’ll go out on a limb and say that Franson doesn’t make the team.

So I guess that means Dauphin, Hino, Kampf and Debrincat are headed out. Might happen but does keeping Bouma and Tootoo make them a better team?
Franson - not a big fan of his but there might be an under the table agreement already in place. |

I’d rather keep Dauphin and Kampf, but I don’t see it happening. I’m just suggesting what I think will happen, not what I want to happen. |

The young guys need to play and not sit on their butts so the Hawks will justify some of their decisions based on that.
Competition in Rockford should be excellent.
My thinking is Debrincat is making this team as the 13th forward and PP specialist.
