I love pominville but no that means Miller has to get retired then - GERBE!!!75PTS
........ What do you have against Miller???? lol
I don't think either were great enough to have their numbers retired but they were great players in the history of the Sabres organization. Miller won a Vezina and an Olympics MVP on the LOSING team. He has a slice in history here. |

Miller was a head-case, whiny child who always deflected responsibility for losses, threw his team mates under the bus constantly and had exactly ONE elite season as a starting goaltender in this league. He won exactly NOTHING and did exactly NOTHING for this team, ultimately.
Martin Biron's career stats are almost identical and that's a guy who played on a LOSING team.
Ryan Miller is the most overrated Sabre of all-time and it's not even close. If his number ends up in the rafters, I'm not a Sabres fan anymore because it confirms that our franchise is a (frank)ing joke. |

I love Miller bro I'm one of his biggest supporters like you
People think he was overrated I say he was Elite

He didn't say that. He said DRAFT. - HonkFortheGoose
Yeah but you know he meant bottom 5 team, that's a weak argument against him |

See: Above.
He was good for two things:
Post-game meltdown fighting back the tears
-and-
Late goal high glove side. |

I especially like it because Gorges would be in the press box
Edit: I will also like it more when McCabe comes back |

bailey or baptiste
one of them needs the 3rd line slot, the other needs to go to rochester
let larsson, moulson, deslaurers, josefson and griffith fight for the 4th line
looks like skunk gets his shot at center |

Remove his Vezina season and you cannot tell his and Biron's career stats apart. |

Miller had the ability to take over a game like not many other could. His stats don't tell his whole story here.
I wish there was a way to show the number of games that he just robbed the opposing team over and over again and won 2-1 or 3-2 where it should have been 5-2 or worse. He might not have been the most consistent at times but his competitive edge was always there and that was why I loved him.
Lehner has the competitive edge and fiery side to him but hasn't really showed the skill to back it up. He just looks like a hot head at times. |

Wasn't it JB that said that he wants Rochester to be a winning team so that all of these kids growing up get used to the culture and the mentality of it? I'm not surprised at all that we sent some of our better prospects down there for it. - JVince11
Yes. He feels very strongly about building the team from the bottom up. Gotta have that culture coming into the big club. Not the other way around. |
