that was pretty good - Sabresfan-365
The last call is from the Saturday afternoon matinee against Carolina when Kane lobbed a pass to Eichel who nutmegged Cam Ward. I had my boy with me. That video is hard for me to get through, honestly.

The goal is nice, Cam Wards reaction to how he got beat is priceless. Your boy got to see a great one.

Their numbers are very similar, there were better players on waivers. Why him? - Sabresfan-365
He fits a spot on the fourth line, he has cup winning experience, is a Foligno type. Not sure what botts sees in him, but it will be quite telling if Nolan makes the team but Dlo doesn't.

I think one of them will be with Reinhart and pouliot which would be s good spot. I thought it would be Baptiste but Bailey is there tonight - jcragcrumple
I agree. I think it would be a real good spot for one of them. But the 4th line isn't going to help them continue developing their game at the NHL level IMO. So if that's where they end up being slotted in, I'd rather JBotts send them back down.
It sounded like things went better for the team in the first 2 preseason games. Guys were (mostly) playing the system and seemed to have some chemistry with each other.
Then Housley switched it up a lot for the 2nd two games and it sounded like it was a trainwreck (I didn't watch/listen to either of those games).
The lineup is for the most part back to the first two games (especially when you look at the top 2 lines).
Like you, I hope it doesn't take too long for them to really get it all together. But the players all have said how much they love this system and they all seem to be buying in, so that helps.
I did hear a snippet of Pominville's interview with WGR yesterday. He said the system essentially is built on speed and taking thinking out of the equation. He said the more you have to think about what you're supposed to do, the slower everything moves overall.
So it sounds like Housley really wants them relying on their instincts and developing chemistry with each other. - HonkFortheGoose
Yea I was at the Toronto game. They looked VERY slow compared to the leafs. And that was with Kane, Eichel, beaulieu, risto ect in the line up. I have a feeling there will be a decent amount of games that will make us pull our hair out. But yea I want to reserve my full judgement until we see the whole team together
I dont think Baptiste is making this team. I havent seen or heard anything that would leave me to believe hes making it. I think if E-rod has the edge over bailey or baptiste if hes healthy

Neither has played in the top 9 yet. It'll be interesting to see what the look like with Reinhart. But yeah, Erod has been impressive

No Risto? - LandlordTom
Doesn't look like it. Must be playing in the next one. Seems we still have a lot of defensemen in camp. Probably trying to get a real good look at all of them before they make their final decisions.
Seems JBotts and Housley had their mind made up about Guhle being in Rochester this year, because you'd think he'd still be here ahead of a guy like Goloubef.
