Michael's absents since the "post-takedown" doesn't bode well here.
Has he decided to move on and no longer be the Sabres Blogger?
I hope it is merely a stretch phase before the season. |

I understand, do you?
Collin Kapernick started the protest as a way to bring into light discrematory treatment by Police of Black individuals.
However, study after study of various "measures" prove that it doesn't exist across the board. Do some cops treat black men differently then whites, yes, absolutely.
Do some black men treat cops with disdain and contribute at some level to their own treatment AND treatment of other black men being different, hell yes.
Is Black on Black crime a bigger issue that White on Black, hell yes.
But no matter the evidence to the contrary, people do have a right to protest.
And their then comes a decision on the platform used to deliver said protest.
Picking a platform that guarantees a very emotional response is what he and others have decided for themselves...don't cry about not getting a dinner invitation when you piss on the shoes of the host.
As far as players and teams, including owners joining in the protest against the President's comments, go F yourself...as they have no decided for themselves to bring this into a political faceoff on their home turf...they are asking for what they are getting...and the players who kneel during the Anthem are going against their own NFL Ploicy ... without repercussions...yet, heaven forbid someone wears shoes that support the men and women in uniform who put their life on the line to protect their right to express themselves.
Tell me you can't see the hipocracity in all this! It is laughable at best
Waiting for the "Ya but". - IonSabres
Half is for freedom of speech and other is for Equal rights I have no problems with what they're doing

You don't know what the flag represents until you've been handed one.
You wanna protest? Have at it but find a different way to do it. Instead of trying to help unite the country, they're dividing it worse. And that goes for both sides.

Game says it's on MSG-B. Does that mean it's on locally or is that the Islanders broadcast that will be blacked out? Anyone know? |

Wouldn't know.
I don't go out of my way to listen to that genre. |

Since the subject of protest came up I'll share my 2 cents.
I don't think the "protests" insult the military or the police nearly as much as they insult the average white, non racist, tax paying, ticket buying citizen. The person who has spent their whole life trying to be nice to do the right thing. The protest is a huge F U to that person.
And to drag it into hockey is even more insulting. At this point it's just bandwagoning or guys caving to peer pressure. |

It's watchable... Pretty good for mindless entertainment.
I was being overly critical because they overuse Elton John in this movie. |

I used the term "grandstanding" the other day. I don't have an issue with the protesting per se so much as a I have an issue that I guarantee you the vast majority of players couldn't honestly tell you exactly what it is they are protesting. |

we are forced at work to play "neutral" crap
"I wasn’t just broken, I was shattered
I trusted you so much, you're all that mattered
You no longer love me and I sang like a sad bird
I couldn't move on and I think you were flattered"
it's really a crappy song |

I'll throw my 2 cents into the ring too...
As a veteran I'm all for the protests.
And I don't give a poop if you disagree with that.
Just like you don't give a poop about what I think of your opinion.

the one thing people seem to overlook
freedom of speech does not come without consequences when you apply it at your job
if 100 of us did a protest at work, I bet some would get pink slips

On the other hand, I bet the ones that didn't get pink slips wouldn't have people on hockey boards getting all over them. |
