At this point I don't think the Canucks should be icing a checking line at all ...4 lines with the emphasis on scoring ...figure out who you want to keep around long term and once some of the higher end prospects are ready to be Canucks you can go find checkers if need be - Redmile247
Agree. Maybe BJ meant ability to check. The Canucks do have two way forwards that can play that type of game at camp. As opposed to one dimensional types like Goldy and DD. |

I agree with Red...at the very least, it might be fast & entertaining, even if we have a whole series of 7-4 losses. I'll take fast & entertaining losses over excruciatingly slow 2-1 losses any day! |

You got a point and perhaps Tree is looking at Edler's contract expiring in 2019. - Nuck4U
Tree's agent is more likely to be looking at the likelihood of new management to negotiate with by then. Edler is already a spent force and in 2-3 years will be either gone or irrelevant. |

I would like to see Tryamkin back, at some point. He added a dimension that the Canucks sorely lack. Even though at times he seems reluctant to engage physically, he made an impact when he did

2-3 years in the KHL, I'd like to think he'd be ready to come back to Vancouver (even if he doesn't smoke weed!) - SlightlyOffside
It was wonderful having such a dominant physical force on the Canucks for a change. But you can see in those scrum and fight clips that he was very awkward handling those types of situations. Lots of big players just don't like being overly physical and laying guys out with big hits would invite the retaliation fights. It wouldn't surprise me if that was another reason he doesn't want to play in the NHL. |

It is interesting if agent Larionov who has Goldy weighs in with Canucks. How that goes may play a factor. |

I read there was three brawls in the last two weeks at Walmart. It was reported the greeter overheard some kids shouting Nucks Suck . |

Green basically called OJ's camp performance average.

I am not sure the playoffs are on the radar.
Sad to see Boucher's stock drop. But I bet Calgary will pick him up just to lock him up in the minors and keep him away from Vancouver. They will call him up when the Canucks play the Flames and he will score twice and Burke will come out in the media and rub it in. So says I. - Beatle_john
The CBA prevents this. It's why Corrado was claimed and kept in the press box. The player has to be waived again by his new team in order to be sent to the AHL. And his old team gets first dibs. |

Do you have a link?
As much as I was hoping to see Olli do well, I thought he looked a little nervous & overmatched for the short time (parts of a couple of games) that I managed to watch. Still just a kid... |
