you missed the point. read the rest of the comments

What's the point? I'm not buying the cap space argument since he sucks at using cap space.

Sucks at assset management.

The only thing that will save his ass is drafting and so far his first draft(easiest to judge) looks bad.

despite not really having a chance to make the team, you have to feel bad for White. can't even play for a 2-way contract at this point.

Yeah, he's probably done in the NHL. Could still make decent money in the AHL/Europe.

He was pretty great for his role in his prime.

I'm with WhiteLie, I haven't seen enough of Burmistrov to have him as a 3rd line centre over Sutter or even Gagner who is listed as a LW in the chart and a centre on NHL .com.

Hey Whitey, the chart is attributed to Jeremy Davis Canucks Army not Biech??

- Makita

Biech tweeted it, so I am assuming he's higher ranking officer at the Canuck Army. I never credit subordinates

Lol, I mean as a tough guy, unlike most guys who are flat out liabilities on the ice(Sestito/Glass), he could actually be an OK 4th liner.

My wife is a habs fan, so I used to watch him play all the time, and my god did he take the worst penalties at the worst times. Didn't pay attention to him in Philly, and remembered him being a bigger scorer for MIN than Hanzal was at one point lol

I was looking at the last thread and posting as everyone moved to here so I will repeat.

I don't see Benning getting another contract after this year. Low finishes, questionable contracts , trades , and draft picks may have Aquilini saying thanks for the memories.Adios.

So you think he's done after this season? (Assuming the team misses the playoffs)

Extending the twins ? I don't think so. So far in Training camp you can see Bo Sven Granlund all looking to be going to the next level. Jake BB are starting to look NHL ready so we can move on from the past .

We still have Sutter Gagne and Eriksson to insulate the younger players.

Instead of bringing in players over 34 next year trade or sign a young top 6 player

Tearing your ACL twice in 6 months.

Bye Bye explosiveness. He'll never be the same player.

I can't see FA offering him a multi year contract and no GM wants a one year contract.

I think it will all depend on how "his" guys do ...if guys like Sven, Granny, sutter, guddy, stecher, etc do as well and he gets good return for guys like Vanek etc at the deadline ....he could be back

I think he was given a 5 year deal so I'm betting the 18/19 season will be his "judgement day"

If those guys are ready and have a good year do you want a GM that is still learning the ropes? It is multiple years that you need to sign a guy that is batting .500 as your team remains in the bottom of the league.

Yup and you can see it how he's setting up that season for his prospects to come in and make noise on the roster.
