What's the point? I'm not buying the cap space argument since he sucks at using cap space.

Yes, you can judge them now but nobody knows for sure how the team will look in a few years. His picks could pan out and we may be competitive quickly or they may bust like Virtanen. If those guys are ready and have a good year do you want a GM that is still learning the ropes? It is multiple years that you need to sign a guy that is batting .500 as your team remains in the bottom of the league.

I don't want to keep going through a recycle list like Lombardi Sutter . I would take a Larry Robinson though.
