Thought Goldy was Mogilny light. That's if he gets it together enough to make the NHL. - Nuck4U
If he could turn into anything close to Mogilny that would be phenomenal. I don't see it, but let's see what happens in the next few weeks to months. |

We won't likely get to see that this season, if ever, as he'll be on Comets perfecting his no back checking enigmatic cheeting to score free styling. |

There is a reason he is criticized, yes I believe he will be on the comets, but to be labeled as Mogilny lite he shouldn't be continually be sent to the AHL for 4 straight years. That's why I said the next few weeks to months, otherwise he is just another Rodin still trying to realize a dream. |

The AHL ranks are about to swell. Pool is deeper then it's ever have been. Even passes the AV Moose days. - Nuck4U
Next year seems more exciting. Could have Gaudette, Pettersson, Juolevi, Lind, Lockwood, etc all potentially joining the Comets to start the year unless 1 or 2 of them really impress like Boeser has. I like Dahlen, Chatfield, and MacEwen, and Goldobin's talent is obviously intriguing, but that group next year is a lot more intriguing.
Plus Subban should be a 40 goal winger in the AHL by then |

Yes, I agree on Goldy. Though non-waiver exempt Rodin is likely to earn a chance to prove it first. No worries for Goldy if only getting the dunking exposure. He's just 21 and waiver exempt until 2019 to stick. |

If he can't earn himself a call up by the end off this season then it's time to start thinking that he's a tweener. This is a big year for him. 2nd organization and his 3rd year in the AHL. Same with Rodin, the guy needs to stay off the IR and earn himself as roster spot by season's end or he's likely a career SHL'er. I like the speed and skill these guys bring, but they need to get their poop together at the NHL level eventually.
The Canucks aren't the Sharks, if Boeser can earn a spot then so can these guys. Especially when the inevitable injuries force call ups during the season. |

Yes they are looking to be set up for competing at next camp. Don't be surprised to see many of them paraded on Canucks end of this season.
I'll be waiting for your Subban trade proposals in the meantime. |

Barring injuries or TDL deal can't see both Rodin and Goldy on roster with BB and JV. Who are they going to bump? |

Rodin is turning 27, Goldobin has been in North America for years now, so no excuse about ice surface, free wheeling no hit SEL league like Rodin. |

I'm not suggesting that this has to be in October or even November.
The Canucks are always hit with injuries, every NHL team, especially teams that travel more. They need to dominate the AHL, then be first in line for a call up when a forward gets injured, ands then play their ass off to stay in the lineup when they do get that chance. They both have NHL speed and skill and offer plenty of offensive upside so it'd be great if even 1 of them could accomplish this goal in 17/18. |

Yeah looks like they got the depth for that with these guys. Didn't JB boast that there will likely be 7 NHL "types" on the Comets this season.
Seems capfriendly has picked the roster for Canucks already on link below:
https://www.capfriendly.com/teams/canucks
Only adjustment is to put Gaunce on LTIR, and if so, add JV, then sit DD/Rodin; or a D to sit with Wiercioch. |

It's a little presumptuous to say he'll be their best pick when there's a real possibility he might not ever play for the team.
I really hope he's true to his word and he wants to play in Vancouver, but there's always the chance he might not. - LeftCoaster
Even Ivory Snow is not 100% lol
Idk what the point is in speculating unless grounds for insecurity that he will do contrary to what he has intimated. |

Wrong, capfriendly has not "picked the roster", what they do is take any players standing from last season's end and place them in that spot.
Rodin was on Canucks when his season ended, Boeser and Molino were also on Canucks Molino has since been sent down so he has been removed from the NHL roster section, which had 16 forwards on it a week ago, Boucher and Molino have been sent down.
(free agent signings automatically get placed on nhl roster. If the reason behind that needs to be explained ,well ....)

Wrong again. This is an analytics sites view of what they perceive to be the depth rankings on the Canucks.
it was updated because of CA had Boucher rated in top 12 forwards, he got sent down so they scrambled to update this.
That site, somewhat like yourself, has had a love affair with Boucher. |

Both Linden and Benning signed four year contracts, this is the last year of his deal. - LeftCoaster
So their performance will be measured by ?, essentially if you re-signed either of them it would be based on speculation not results. Playoff's or see ya? |

Guadette is signing before end of this season burning a year on ELC. It's the plan. Book it. - Nuck4U
Wouldn't he have to get into games after signing, in order to burn a year. That might be pretty hard after he suffers a broken leg in the college playoffs. Book it. |

*Sigh* I'm not slamming either player, it was a hockey discussion about Goldobin, his lack of ability to break into the NHL. I only made the comparison to Rodin based on his age still trying to make the NHL, that Goldobin has been playing AHL hockey for 4 years, Rodin played SEL and neither player can seem to stick full time.
Sorry for trying. |

Lighten up. We all know what cap friendly is and it doesn't PICK the roster. It was meant in a humorous way on how things were lining up in camp after cuts. If you read further on about adjustments you'd get was using capfrindly list as a prop and predicting what was left to do. |

No issues there big guy just admiring how you put it. I get you see deficiencies in them which you summed up nicely in statement above. |
