Ya we were trying to follow the Calgary model, the one where you hold onto players forever and keep adding to the disaster. |

With St. Louis desperate for forwards who can score, I wonder if they are enquiring about Vanek?
Why wait til tdl, dump him now while his value is high, maybe we can get a 3rd for him. - Renidrag
I like how u think 👍
We do have the depth to deal for the right price. Maybe a 2nd is more like it. |

Wierchoich played the best IMO. If we had to keep 1. |

I think we see 3 guys on defense at 6'5" this year. |

Finally a bit of toughness.
Best part of the line up last night was that it lacked a bit of skill but showed a lot of toughness. |

Would like to see a nice blend of skill and toughness this season. The hitting and odd little scrum where players are standing up for each other will be a welcome sight. |

Was watching the Jets vs Sens game. Talked about Thorburn not being there as the toughness for the Jets anymore. Maurice said they were going for toughness by committee. Then Ehlers tried to drop the gloves with Burrows. Someone stepped in to help out Ehlers. |

that is what I like to see. Team toughness. None of thsee goon type poop. If a player cant get 10 minutes of icetime per night then they shouldn't be in the league. |

Question is: were they 'real good'? - Bowel-Auger
They played solid against a NHL roster. I think Pedan being comfortable with Green has played with confidence, same with Archiebald. JV also looks very confident .
I think with the growth of another year older and smarter, plus the fact that they don't fear one mistake and your gone , the players are taking the next step. |

Green post game.
Virtanen played "good". "Talked to during the game, things he didn't like"
I won't miss Upshall.
Likes Burmistrov.
Roster tomorrow morning. - manvanfan
He said they'll make some cuts but it didn't sound like all the cuts would be made.
The cut list should start with Chaput, Megna, Biega.... tough calls after that. Wonder if the rest of the bubble get the last game to show. They can rest Edler, Tanev, Sedins, Bo for sure. |

Patrick played with Konecny and Courtierer last night and had a fight with Krejci. 2 Assists. Skating still needs work. Philly is going to be enjoyable to watch this season. |

Oh man... wouldnt it be nice for JV to make the team just to pound that guy and outscore him too... sure would shut a lot of the second guessing whines. |

As much as I like the 2018-19 looks, we need a bottom 3 finish this year, so the more they play the better our chances. We just have to endure one more year of mind numbing hockey . |

Not sure which way to answer that... that it won't make a difference cause they will be off for a week until games are for real... or why bother cause you finally want to see the next group be the difference makers. |

The fact that Archie and Pedan bring some toughness to this team. Allowing the other players to play a little bigger.
Someone is going to need to play the PK. Dorsett, Archie, Eriksson, Sutter, Granlund, Horvat. |

It's going nothing to do with it. If you added Ehlers to this roster of wieners he would barely be better then Baertschi. Ehlers plays with a bunch of large forwards in Wpg. Difference is he already has the Virtanen types that have matured, to play with. |
