the problem is, is that the Sedins/Ericsson/Vanek will be gifted spots whether you, me, or the entire fanbase likes it. We can all argue until we are blue in the face, it is going to happen. In a perfect world, the Sedin's would be 3rd/4th line minute players. Despite me cringing at the idea of 14 million dollars in cap being dedicated to 3rd or 4th line minutes, I would much prefer our new age core gets the bulk of the minutes.

Everyone is aware it is preseason. The problem is we are all aware of what the regular season looks like from 2013 on and it is dreadful yet we always resort back to the same line up mostly.
