im not saying it is that simple, but you can't just say development is development, despite if its in the NHL or AHL either.
- Codes1087

yes, also, it's too early to say Virtanen has developed well in the AHL. I am not convinced after a solid preseason. Let's see what he does when the competition improves.

.@Canucks practice is on at @UBC this morning. No sign of Juolevi, Holm, Rodin or Upshall. Baertschi (illness) not on ice either.

- VANTEL

I agree with those cuts. Still have some hope for Rodin, he was playing with some crappy line mates and scored a couple of goals, but he was too invisible for large stretches. I'm glad that he's cool with going to the AHL despite the out clause in his contract.

It's to early too say that Tchunk odds definitively going to have a better career then OJ.
- Pres.cup

Yup I agree, I've been defending Olli but just putting a list of nice players we could've had.

We have some of the dumbest fans in the league. They only see what the province/tsn/sportsnet are telling them. They have not a clue about cap, contract terms, anything. Moj and Blake and Botch are leading the charge to daily Canucks content to the average Canuck fan, and that is where we are at. They cried when Luogno was dealt, signed petitions when Lack was dealt, wanted Benning's head when Higgins was sent to Utica, its a joke. Damage control is all this management team needs to keep themselves safe to this pom pom waving fan base.
- Codes1087

90 % of fan bases are dumb. All they care about is going for hot dogs and beer. Damn I just described Lefty

Absolutley, Rodin is doing this right. He was always in tough after missing a season due to injury. Hopefully he excels in Utica and is called up in a few months.

I attend 90% of the games and it's a bloody embarrasement
- CanuckDon

Every time I attend a game, I overhear some cringe-y ass comments. I think Linden/Benning probably interact with more casual fans than hardcore(they do out-number us) and it gives them this misguided perception of this fanbase that the educated/hardcore fans would laugh at.

It's why it sometimes seems like Linden is talking down to the fans when he does interviews. He spends too much time around fans who think +/- is a great stat.

Come on Green!

Sedins need a forechecker/speed. That line only works on the PP.

Goldobin can score. Everyone knows his D stinks . So the answer is to sign Vanek who can score and his D stinks and is more expensive
- VANTEL

Goldobin has scored a lot in the NHL? Everyone knows he can score in the AHL. Kind of a difference isn't it?

Vanek can be traded at the tdl.

Is he? Not sure how it works with Euro players at his age. Holm is exempt.

I'm too lazy to check on my glitchy phone.

For sure.

Goldobin is at the same stage Shinkaruk was last year, hopefully he takes a step forward and shows NHL promise at some point this season.

he signed a 1 year 1 way contract I think. He would have to pass through waivers in order to be sent down.
