Wonder if another bottom feeder with a Swedish scout that likes him might claim him. Detroit?
- Nucker101

he signed a 1 year 700k contract. I would assume that he would get claimed.

I thought Granlund looked decent with them down the stretch last year. I'd say him or Sutter are probably the 2 best fits. Maybe Jake, but I prefer to have him play with quicker line mates that can create off of the rush.

I am not sure I care

Odds are he won't be an impact player, but I'd prefer to see him stay with the organization. He showed some really nice skill last year. Guy just needs to stay healthy and adjust to North American ice again. He has some upside.

The more lottery tickets, the better.

I'd bring in Jagr to mentor the Sedins.

I don't want to lose him. A bottom 5 team a couple years in a row, losing prospects for free is not a sign of good management.

If they only care about the past they should've signed Iginla because his line is sexier

So you agree with Vantel that Goldobin has proven he can do what Vanek can do?

This is just the annual fall event where Vantel wants to waive all our vets because they didn't out play the 12 guys battling for 3 spots in the preseason...

It's one of the more entertaining parts of the preseason. Not that I wouldn't welcome a quicker change over... and I definitely enjoy the posts

Granlund did help but I guess it comes down to do you want to spend a year of Granlund helping the twins or do you want to look at the future and try to find chemistry with younger players

I think with the more experienced cuts are coming this week. If we lose a Rodin some other team will be losing their Rodin also and we are pretty high up on the waiver wire

I thought they helped each other from what I remember. They set him up more than anyone else did. Most of his goals with Sutter/Eriksson weren't exactly set up by his line mates.

You can go with Sutter and the Sedins instead if the preference is to play Granlund with someone else.

If Linden is still here, it might be 2 more years.

yes, also, it's too early to say Virtanen has developed well in the AHL. I am not convinced after a solid preseason. Let's see what he does when the competition improves.
- CanuckDon

He played well enough in his rookie season. The question isn't as mysterious as that at all. This isn't his first pro camp like Boeser or anything. Boeser is a bigger question mark when it's presented in that Manner.

I'm too lazy... no RC.

You said something along the lines of that line being too slow and them needing someone with speed on their line.

Finally a bit of toughness.

Best part of the line up last night was that it lacked a bit of skill but showed a lot of toughness.

I saw a lot of togetherness going down & played like a team with the structure showing signs of TG & how we will play.

that is what I like to see. Team toughness. None of thsee goon type poop. If a player cant get 10 minutes of icetime per night then they shouldn't be in the league.
- Renidrag

I agree but on that note if the team plays well & TOI is harder to win is my way of putting it. Competition from within MUST be the key if we want to truly get out the basement & compete & challenge for the cup again one day. I'll put that onto the vets to lead the way & the kids to push hard on their end of it. It goes back to the Sedins saying make us the 2nd or 3rd line & take away our 1st line minutes & ops checking line. Its not how important or how much the Sedins r played its about the natural progression as an entire team to take the onus & make it happen.

As much as I like the 2018-19 looks, we need a bottom 3 finish this year, so the more they play the better our chances. We just have to endure one more year of mind numbing hockey .
- VANTEL

How about we show legit progress & win a top 3 pick 😂😂👍

Benning needs to get more 1st, 2nd and 3rd round picks as well.
- LeftCoaster

I'm all for that but 1sts r harder to acquire nowadays & we need TDL quality to even have a hope. 2nds & 3rds though can be had if chips fall into place.
