Come on give your head a shake! That's not what everyone's saying. This team has proven it can't turn on the switch and suddenly turn it on. If you don't start showing some emotion/effort in the pre season how do these vets think the regular season is going to start.
It's time for GG to ice the roster that's going to start in Edmonton, enough of this Mr. Nice Guy, let everyone have a turn. Hopefully that's Bart in the minors and a 3rd pairing of Kulak and Rass, with Stone watching from the press box. Jankowski has earned a starting role, he needs to be in the opening line up. Brouwer on the 4th til he earns a higher spot.

Not sure Brian Burke has anything to do with our fully autonomous GM bringing in a trusted veteran from his former team.

Pretty poor effort last night. No reason to panic yet but it is a bit concerning.

Luckily from Gully's post-game interview it sounds like he feels the same and I expect him to whip them into shape. We have a good roster, we just need to smarten up and actually start playing. Preseason records don't count for anything. Colorado went 6-0 in the preseason last year but that didn't stop them from being by far the worst team in the League.

Bart certainly didn't earn a job last night and I fully expect Kulak to take his spot at this point. Glass has been decent for most of the preseason but given how few forward spots we have I can't see him making it over Janko. Janko's more than earned a spot.

You may be right and at the beginning of the pre season I agree! We're now at the point that they better kick it into gear or we'll be idling at the starting line, sucking other teams smoke!

I agree. The outcome in preseason doesn't matter. However, I'm getting annoyed with GG not running scrimmages during training camp/preseason and opting only for working on systems. Guys need that time to re-familiarize themselves with line mates and teammates.
