Island life, man.

We're in Vancouver. Just got in tonight. Seeing my Rheumatologist on Monday and thought we would get tickets for The Vancouver Cheese & Meat Festival on Saturday. The Argo Cafe tomorrow and Granville Island on Sunday. Not to mention a visit to my favourite weed dispensary.

- Marwood

My dispensary delivers. ๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ’จ

Another thing to consider is Airbnb, we have been discussing whether we want to offer a self contained suite on Abnb
- Makita

Ya the instructor also suggested that. I need to research the area a bit as some were in places I had never heard of
Kinda like Metchosin , until I joined this site

Chapoo and Megapoo get a spot but there's no room for Rodin? I understand you need to build a bottom six, but, that's disappointing.

The reason why I find his article interesting is because Jake showed up last year to camp a tubby SOB, had a bit of a chip on his shoulder, and had never really faced adversity prior to being drafted. Green takes him under his wing, holds him accountable, tells him to get his ass in gear, tells him to play 2 ways if he wants a career, and now Virtanen shows up to camp playing like he has. I just don't think its a coincidence. Green just might have been EXACTLY what Virtanen needed to get brought back to earth and be humbled.

TG has done an amazing job with JV. If theres any 1 sign to the fans that he is the coach we need its this right here.

A good start yes.
The better result is us moving away from the Sedins & how he goes about it. The next core is the immediate task & the shape & form it takes will be interesting.

A lot of skill. A lot of european style. It's a shame really. Maybe they should have kept Goldobin up with the Canucks so Green can develop him.

Kinda thought the same with rodin actually.

I had Sergachev ahead of OJ but give it time. Tkachuk was do we go for D or F & JB went D. No probs there.

I liked Glass but had others i liked more so. When Rasmussen was mentioned earlier on i was gagging tbh.

didnt he go to buffalo?

I thought I said Valimaki was the best defenseman in the draft and I still believe that.

you may have included that. I didn't write it though. Just you thought top 5.

Rodin goes to the corners and battles. Plays in his own zone. Timing just isn't right.

Next year Pettersson, Dahlen will make us forget about the Sedins.

Is the Goldy gamble a gaffe?

Is Rodin's floor's ceiling as high as Virt's ceiling's floor?

Maybe they'll waive Sutter to make room for Rodin.

Good points๐Ÿ‘
I'll try running some combos by ppl from some recent observations & past history.

Sven Bo BB consensus
Dank Hank Granny good chemistry
LE Sutter Vanek vet savvy depth scoring
Gagner Burmi JV solid & very fun
Archie, DD

Not much grit but balanced & speedier.
Archie can swing if anyone dinged.
DD bumped down due to obvious reasons

Edler Stecher nice mix
Hutton Tanev steadies Hutton
MDZ EG nice 3rd pairing
Pedan

PP & PK combos r at Browns discretion with TG having final say.

- Nighthawk

I can see this set up option too from what I put based on same. Though believe they are leaning with 8 D as easier just to send down DA and call up when needed. Maybe they cheat on paper could take out JV as waiver exempt & sit Burm when going with that Sutter, DD, DA grind combo.

Plus having Granlund does prop up Sedins which is great for them. Maybe BB could work there too. TG has liked Granlund creating at center. As Sutter is great for faceoffs and checking. But is a virtual black hole for offense not playing making to wingers who need set ups.

Can't add any morning hate so will have to totally agree. Believe he will clear. Comet top line minutes will get timing back after missing 1.5 years of hockey. He'll be good to go by time those injuries hit that Canucks get so often.

Totally on that train from development camp.

Believe that the convincing will start with end of season look when they sign EP & call up Dahlen. JB needs to showcase new direction to get that contract extension too.

More important then bringing back twin old & slow. Besides best if they all see that EP & Dahlin are ready. It will force approach on taking the high road to retire so as to make room.

He walked into the worst prospect pool in the NHL. 4 drafts later, the prospect pool was ranked 7th. It might be top 3 by next summer. Someone else will get to see the fruits of his labour. Unfortunate.
Drafts aren't the only part of being a GM.
Did sign Bo to a good contract.
He has won more trades then lost. Especially when not handcuffed.
See serious signs of improvement in all aspects of him being a GM.

Burmistrov has been deployed as a center. Two way game needed and shows more then Chaput. Goals are great but in pre-season evaluation not stand alone measures.

Burmy and Gagner are showing how bad Megma and Chapoo really are. I have yet to see anything other then the occasional blip from either Megma or Chappoo. Don't know how they are still in camp.

Agree. My theory is three fold on why they have been kept around.

They are getting vet treament being on roster most of last season plus played well for TG when on Comets.

Second, having had so many NHL games and icetime recently that they may stand out on waivers for a team that can use them now. So Canucks are playing waiver dance on timing.

Thirdly, they are hard workers that pushed play of competition to make final cut decisions.
