I do think Pedan will make the team because I can't see Gudbrandson and Benning agreeing on a contract extension.

Weircoch is soft, not good defensively and his offense hasn't translated in the NHL. I'd go with Biega and Pedan personally and if a decent dman on a deeper team that is relatively young gets waived, I'd consider going that route as well.

TG wants to play high pace and a good first pass out of zone which is a tool he has. So there's that. If a prospect D is waived go for it. But like the last thread previous discussion one did go through untouched.

i have no opinion on the D, as i haven't had enough of a chance to watch the preseason games.

i'm just glad it looks like JV has a real shot of making the squad. i'm not one to say told ya so...it's just nice that all the chickenlittles have recovered enough to see his potential.

Pedan replacing Tree. Wiercoch brought in to replace PL and trying to displace Biega as RD option. MDZ took Sbiza's starter spot.

I have always liked both PLAYERS, but similar styles and one is a pending Ufa, perfect for rebuilding team to sell high at TDL.

I thought he has been very good vs what we saw before he was demoted last preseason.

still want to see if TG is really going to be rolling the lines before slotting JV into the bottom 6 or on the 4th line.

Has Virtanen done enough to earn a roster spot?

Yeah, I'd only keep JV up if he's going to get decent minutes and decent linemates. I don't want him to lose this momentum.

There is a fair share of us who like him but also realize he is not a 3.6 mil player. We like his potential and toughness but at a cheaper price. Lefty may get a swollen head but he seems to be right with his evaluation of him a 5/6 Dman
