There's nothing wrong with playing him on the fourth line to start out - exactly like Bo, did, he gotta earn it. It's clear he's ready so let him play - (frank) that put him in Utica poop to get more minutes

Finally someone with sense.

It was more of a point that he's not gonna score much playing 6-8 minutes on the Sutter-Dorsett line.

Bo had to beat out Linden Vey. It would have been hard for him not to move up.
- Nucker101

That's not the point - he still spent the majority of the year in a limited role on the 4th, slowly learning and earning his way up the line.

Biega is not an NHL defenceman

Never has been and that people confuse trying hard with ability when it comes to him drives me bananas.

Agree to disagree here. If he's playing under 10 mins a game with Sutter and Dorsett, it's going to be hard for him to produce/develop offense and that's what I'm concerned about. I know he can forecheck and hit.

IMO it's either playing on a better line or send him down to play with Goldobin, Rodin, Dahlen, etc.

You know the game felt a lot more like regular season, even mid regular season then preseason or the first few games.

I think I would keep 14 forwards and only 7 D.

Gagner defence is honestly brutal. He tries hard but (frank) does he suck at defence.

Markstrom was much much much much......much better then last time he played.

Archibald deserves a contract, with OJ going to Europe. That's fine.

Chapoo, Biega, Weircoich, JV go down.

Don, we're you the one that was hell bent against Rasmussen?? Cus the kids making a heck of case to get his 9 games - although I'm not sure how much that means on the Wings

Bo is a center and by default he found himself in key situations. Playing PK, occasional PP and late game situations.

JV is a winger. There are 6-7 other guys he has to be better than to get into those spots. Sitting and waiting on the 4th line vs first in the AHL and getting a call up for that spot shouldn't be so much of a discussion.

It was a preseason game at home tonight and he didn't break 9 minutes playing on the "4th" line. Every coach says they're gonna roll lines but when its a close game, they're on the road, a losing streak, he made a bad pass, or any number of things that pinch the coaches coaching nerve and he won't be rolling lines or playing.

Willie said he would and kinda did for a year even too much, when times were good. Once the losing hit, he stopped and started doubling down on vets. Every coach does.

Green barely had Boeser playing tonight, let alone Virtanen, but Megna got like 15 minutes by Trying hard despite fumbling the puck and merely getting in the way defensively despite not being able to really make a play defensively.

He doesn't need Granlund to do that, he does it to himself.

Ryan Strome and JP played less then 10 minutes for the Oilers. McJesus played 24. I remember when Babcock was laughing at Mcllennan for his handling of McJesus.

No thanks - he's ready now and will learn more at the NHL level - it's no different than Bo playing with trash in his 1st year - he busted his ass and produced regardless - I think JV is talented enough to do the same

Some people just get upset when someone challenges their views. If people make valid points or if I end up being wrong on something, I'll happily admit it. At the same time I won't assume someone is always wrong just because they used to defend Sbisa before everyone realized he sucked or the Sutter contract.

Agree to disagree, don't think we see this situation from the same view. Bo can carry a line as a center. Jake has always looked great when he has chemestry with a playmaker like Chase in the WHL.

Guess we'll see how it plays out.

No - I was hell bent against Liljegren. I was saying since last October that he would fall out of the top 10 and that he sucked. But I certainly didn’t want Rasmussen at 5th overall

Edit. I wanted Heiskanen or Makar but knew they would be gone. I liked Nico the best and I’m not a fan of Patrick. I wanted Glass or Pettersson

Markstrom was good tonight, so was Granlund, Vanek and Eriksson. Edler was far and away our best Dman. I thought Hutton was decent as well, he looks bigger and more confident and was doing a decent job in front of the net with Lucic and Maroon.

I don't mind if someone challenges my view, I actually enjoy it. Problem is personal opinion and nothing to back it up, won't change my view. As TG mentioned in his press conference today that they see things that the normal fan doesn't.
