Biega brings hits. He fights and he seems to bring a lot of heart.
Not the most talented guy but a decent 7/8 guy - VANTEL
Maybe that's a bit of the problem. |

You're right, we, and the rest of the dirty dozen, are guilty of getting whirled up with anger, I will try to flag and ignore.... you to!
- Pres.cup
Agree I do skim through posters or at least try to . I am honestly feeling guilty that others have to read our in house bickering . Yesterday was a joke of a day . Not again today.

Virtanen, Boeser, Archibald, and Pedan make the team.
And Gudbranson and Benning will agree on an extension (6 years). Erik is going to have a great season regardless of what the analytics donkeys say. - Slip and slap
I'm curious what the people define a good/great season for Gudbranson. Is it based on defensive/physical play? Meaning doing a good job of defending his blueline and having a low GAA rate?
I don't think his puck skills or offense will ever be decent.
Saying I think he's going to have a good season without really saying what defines a good season for him seems like a safe cop out. Something I'd probably hear on 1040. |

Even Nuck4U is getting better, although hasn't quite grasped concept of less is more. lol
Edit; the last time someone complimented him he started back up on his old ways. Hope that doesn't happen again. - Renidrag
Another option is don't read his posts or anyone who rubs you the wrong way. ? |

By that measure, Burrows was a better player than Hansen last year |

Ya, I did that for quite awhile. He has some interesting points at times. But let's his imagination run wild a bit too much.
I ignore his lengthy posts most of the time. |

There is a fair share of us who like him but also realize he is not a 3.6 mil player. We like his potential and toughness but at a cheaper price. Lefty may get a swollen head but he seems to be right with his evaluation of him a 5/6 Dman - VANTEL
I remember you used to be really high on bringing in Brenden Dillon. He got a 5 year deal a couple years ago at 4.58% of the cap. If you were to take that same 4.58% of the 75 million cap hit. You get around 3.45.
Similar numbers, similar age. It seems stupid I agree but it is what it is. |

That Dillon contract is horrendous. Just because other teams set a bad precedent, doesn't mean it's okay to follow it.
That's how you get stuck with a mediocre cap ceiling team. |

He obviously didn't bring to the Canucks what he brought to Florida when playing with Willie. If you don't use what people are expecting to see then opinions will change.

Okay well if you look at all the rest of the comparables, your going to find out that its normal. Teams are doing it year after year after year. |

Hopefully he plays more physical, I like how Hamonic was using his size/strength to take out Canuck forwards the other night. Would love to see more of that from Gudbranson. |

Despite what the "professionals always knows more than us" crowd says, GM's do a lot of stupid poop and a lot of it is obvious from the moment the move/signing happens, it's not just hindsight.

Hansen was turned into Goldobin, Palmu and Gunnarson, not a bad return. |

I'd happily trade all 3 for another Dahlen |

Yes, and that is why they are paid. If all of them did stupid poop, then they would have probably let arm chair GM's take over years ago.
Give your head a shake. |

i'd like him to have a bit of a physical presence as well, play with some snarl and clear the crease (ooh, lots of hockey cliche's there) |
