"The word around camp was that the Flyers felt that Lindblom still needs to demonstrate greater quickness with his feet to be effective at getting from Point A to Point B at the NHL pace"
Compared to Weise Bill - Bonerfide69
Weise is actually an above-average skater. Not the most skilled guy but skating isn't a concern. |

Yes it has to be position to position. Not saying that there isnt anything the forwards can teach them but there is always going to be positional issues to deal with. It is much easier for players to mentor young guys as well because they can do it on the fly whereas the coaches cant say anything until you are on the bench. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
As far as defense pairs, they're always communicating out on the ice with each other on every shift. Calling that mentoring is a stretch. A veteran defenseman offering advice to a young player is most likely to take place on the bench or giving very brief advice on the ice such as before a faceoff. Positioning issues are best dealt with by the coaching staff. I think mentoring a young player can certainly help but I think you're giving it far too much importance. I think teaching a young player how to train, eat, and how to deal with the things that come with being a pro player can be far more important and that doesn't need to be from a player who plays the same position.

For all the music lovers and Top Petty fans out there, which I am. He was found unconscious, not breathing and in full cardiac arrest. He was rushed to a hospital where they restore his pulse but he is now on life support. I hope he pulls through. |

Even though he was very popular back in my day, I didn't gain a full appreciation for his catalog until 5-6 years ago. |

I grew up with my dad listening to him a bit, but yeah I didn't fully appreciate it until recently either |

Yes it is. Bowie, Gregg Allman and now Petty. Too many gone way too soon.
Add to it the much more horrible tragedy from Vegas and this has just been one (frank)ing awful day. |

I'm surprised they would waive him to keep Khuudobin on the team. |

I'd bet cash money that every other NHL team is psyched that they'll be facing Weise and Amac instead of Lindblom and Morin when they play the Flyers.
Bad moves, Hexy. It's very disheartening to see you make decisions based on fear rather than courage.
And Hakstol will compound the awful roster moves by misusing both players -- gifting the awfully untalented and noncompetitive Weise a spot on the 3rd line, and giving Amac the second most minutes on the team. |

I'd bet you that no other NHL team is worried about Lindblom right now, and even more cash money that Morin is still on the roster. |

Right now Morin is the best French speaking player on the flyers by a mile. |

I'd bet my cash against your cash that NHL teams are not even thinking about that. We don't even know if Morin is not going to be playing yet.
