Not trying to bash the Rangers but how would anyone think their gonna be a 2 seed? Their d is solid but their so thin down the middle to me. How long can you keep riding Hank?

difference is Eichel and some of these new young stars are getting the big deals when they are RFA which is crazy. Even if we pay up on tavares now he actually did Snow a big favor on last deal taken deal at under 6MM a year.

Tavares probably get 11 or 12 a year. Just get it done.

JT will sign when he sees 2 things: An arena deal in place & a team that will be successful. Successful meaning being able to make a run at the cup. Not just squeaking into the playoffs year after year and getting knocked out in the first (or 2nd) round. He wants a cup and wants to play for a team that will perennially compete for one.

I definitely think the Caps are on the downslope. They may sneak into the playoffs, but not by much. Jeez, their defense is a hodge-podge of crap. Aaron Ness made the squad, for cryin' out loud.
