So your point is that good players are good? You've said yourself Sanheim and Morin are "ready" so surely they need AHL time, right? - YuenglingJagr
Morin is 100% ready in my opinion. Unless he proves otherwise in NHL games he should not be sent to the AHL and should be starting tomorrow.
Sanheim has the skill to play in the NHL but I think some AHL time could benefit his all around game. That being said, if Ghost is out, they need him on the power play. So he should get an extended audition.
If Manning is starting tomorrow, the Flyers have made the wrong decision. |

Well that's a good sign that morin and or sanheim may stick longer than just the road trip. Can't wait to see our new age coburn and therien patrolling the blue line. Haha - Hextall271
There are reports that their numbers are being fastened with velcro, instead of sewn. |

Sporting Moose's old digit - puckhead17
Morin is too big for 5.
He needed a 55 or another double digit number |

Could it just be that the Ghost injury is why Manning is still here? Maybe the plan was to keep all 3 and send Manning down but with the Ghost injury they wanted more 'veteran presence' until Ghost is back. Although Manning has more years they both have the same amount of games under their belt. |

That's what I meant by clerical. He is "technically" on the Phantoms until Ghost is ready to go. Once Ghost can go they will go back to carrying 7 d-men and 14 forwards. One of the rookie D's will go to the AHL. I doubt Read actually reports to the Phantoms. Only way that happens is if Ghost is out for awhile and they choose not to IR him. - mickel25

It is speculatuon that he could have done so right out of camp - MJL
That's true, I certainly value Cote's opinion. Weal does need to put up numbers in his role though. Doing lots of little things right but not producing won't be good enough. He's gotten his shot but there is backup in case he sags. |

You keep making one strawman argument after another. The points I made are accurate. I'm on record with regards to Morin and Sanheim. - MJL
What are they doing this season that they weren't by the end of last season? |

Just make the number on his back larger or meaner like a cartoon monster number. |

Most of what we do here is speculate
At least Cote's has significant value considering he was Weal's coach and spent 10+ years with the Flyers, 7 as a coach. |

Odd practice combos. Would appear either Morin(most likely) or Hagg is sitting and Sanheim is in.

Based on history...it would seem like Sanheim would be the one that would step in for a guy like Ghost, where Morin would be in the lineup if one of the PK guys went down. |

I guess the Sanheim/Manning/AMac puzzle will be after game 1 or 2. Hagg was told he's here and I can't see them sending Morin down with what he brings that no one else does. |

AMac and Manning have been in the top 6 in practice for the last two weeks or so. That isn't a coincidence |

If so, that smells like a possible AC joint sprain and is probably a game or two rest (if that) |

The AC joint is...it's near the head. If you squint and take a few steps back |

He took a shot to the head - YuenglingJagr
he got sandwiched between 2 players as well, it may have compressed his shoulders. Both things could have occurred in the same play...doesn't 100% mean he was concussed.
typically I wouldn't expect him skating this soon after a concussion. Soft tissue upper body and skating is fine. |
