Based on history...it would seem like Sanheim would be the one that would step in for a guy like Ghost, where Morin would be in the lineup if one of the PK guys went down. - YuenglingJagr
Yeah I'm more so questioning the Manning Hagg tandem. Morin sitting is a mistake, especially to start a west coast swing vs 3 big teams.
Perhaps with 3 games in 4 nights Hakstol plans on rotating Hagg/Morin/Manning. |

I hope that is the reality. Plus that gives them some practice ice time for Morin and Sandman to get more acclimated to NHL regulars speed. |

If so, that smells like a possible AC joint sprain and is probably a game or two rest (if that) - juiced
If he misses one, I figure he misses both of the back-2-back games. Apparently, the decision between Morin and Sanheim wasn't officially made, so I hope we see both against solid NHL teams. |

Even if Ghost is feeling better, I doubt they want him to start off the season playing back to back nights. With that in mind, assuming Hak gets a clue and doesn't dress the immortal Brandon Manning, perhaps we see:
Wednesday
Provorov-AMac
Sanheim-Gudas
Morin-Hagg
Thursday
Provorov-AMac
Morin-Gudas
Ghost-Hagg
If so, and assuming they then, sadly, send down Sanheim and recall Read (I mean hell, you can never have too much experience in the press box), hopefully Hak has another epiphany and realizes that Andrew MacDonald should NEVER be on an NHL team's top pair. With that in mind, the D for game 3 ends up being:
Provorov-Gudas
Morin-AMac
Ghost-Hagg
Now, if the hockey Gods so will it, during game 3 Morin will have an unsuspecting forward lined up in his sights. However, at the last second, the forward will see him coming and just barely get out of the way, causing Morin to slam into AMac at full throttle and thus, for their 4th game against Nashville, we finally get the D we deserve:
Provorov-Hagg
Sanheim-Gudas
Morin-Ghost
And all was right in the world.

So Morin sits for the heavenly brilliance that is Brandon Manning, and, as a special bonus, Konecny gets to waste his skills with a slug like Weise on the other side.
Hak, you are a genius, the hall of fame awaits.

Yeah Ghost says he's ready to play so we will see. Trying to figure out which pair will be scratched is rather difficult from those pairs.
I find it funny they tend to side with the vets thinking they give the team the best chance to win. We haven't been winning, and our last playoff birth was largely due to the emergence of Ghost. |

Leier took's Read spot. - Feanor
Leier took Read's spot in the lineup. But really the only reason why Read was waived to the Phantoms was because of Ghost's status being uncertain. I have to think as soon as they are sure he is ok and they get back from the road trip Read will be back and one of the dmen sent down. |

Apparently, in the eyes of Hak:
AMac = Eric Desjardins
Manning = Chris Therien (before he got fat and slow)
I can, sort of, understand Hak wanting one of them in the lineup, preferably AMac. But I just can't fathom the reasoning of dressing Manning over Morin.
