seems like these pundits are really going out on a limb with these predictions. - doppelthat
I just started typing the same thing.
Heaven forbid someone actually makes a bold prediction and sticks their neck out a bit.
Three new defensemen, a bit better health, and a new coaching philosophy will hopefully propel the Sabres to better than 10 extra points like the experts are predicting.
I think a few things finally click in Buffalo this season and they take the next step.
I don't think the Sabres make the playoffs just yet, but the could be right on the bubble, maybe within 5/6 points. It's not so much because of the Atlanic where three, possibly four teams that are better, but also because I think five teams from the Metro are likely making the playoffs as well.
I still can't believe the Leafs and Sabres don't play until March 5th and then play four times that months. Take about fueling a rivalry!
Will likely be slightly better than last season but I dont see them being better than Carolina, NYI who I expect to take the WC positions. I dont see them being better than OTT MTL or BOS either for the top 3 spots.

No Quotes but yeah it is odd we don't play the Leafs until March. Lots to watch out for this year and I think most agree it will be a better (or at least more entertaining) ride than last year.
Concerning Risto, he is still what, 23 years old? Still has time to round out his game, and not having to play 30 a game should help.
I just don't see the Habs doing well this year. Lost a few pieces on D and where is secondary scoring going to come from. Should anything happen to Price, I think they don't make the playoffs. Just my 2 cents.
