Paul Maurice will be fired by November - sbroads24
They give up a couple more I'm doubting he makes the third period.
NHL's first in-game firing. |

Can’t be his fault any more than it was Bylsma’s. It just a matter of talent and algebra, we have been told. |

Two things can be true at once, Bylsma was horrible. But after watching one period of Kulikov, wow he's still brutal. I think he looked WORSE than last year. Never had the puck and each time he attempted to chip it out it always landed on a Maple Leaf stick.
I know they'll say it's a small sample, but that was bad.
And frankly I don't want to do the pythagorean theorum to determine if a hockey player is good. At least right now.

I think i asked before but does it actually provide him with any better protection or any real advantage? seems like the only real change is that hes more likely to hurt himself or someone else. |

Its not even algebra. We all knew they (frank)ed up hard when they chose to give Kulikov 4 plus mil for league minimum value. Cheveldayoff gave him that contract same way TM gave us gorges and bogosian |

but the Jets also generated next to nothing when both were on the ice. spent most of it in their own end |

The GIANT difference is Murray acquired all of Kulikov, Gorges and Bogosian with the plan of playing them top 4 minutes.
Kulikov’s contract is bad, but they signed him to be a 3rd pairing player |

Right but my point was as much as bylsma or maurice arent good coaches I dont think you could say that a different coach means this game is 3-2 jets or something like that.
Edit: that first 5v5 goal was just a woof and a half from wheeler. what the (frank) was he doing |

If you're referring to Meyers and Kuli I put most of that on Kuli, I counted no less than three clears he missed and on the PP it looked like he played that way wrong.
Tyler looked like he was trying to lug it out, as he was prone to do, Kulikov just kept throwing it up ice and Toronto grabbed it and stormed back in.
At least that's what I saw casually as I'm doing two things at once right now.

Wheeler and Scheifele had the same shots for/against as them. It’s one period.
I hated Kulikov because he’s an awful top pair D man. He’s a more than capable #6 |
