Nope. That doesn't work if you're trying to grow the sport with the kids. By 8 pm, most kids need to start getting ready for bed or go to bed. If the games start at 7, they get to watch some before they have to go to sleep.

7 works perfectly for me. I have enough time after work to get a few things done before the game starts and then I don't have to jump right in bed after the game ends.

I never liked the friday 8 o'clock games. Too long of a wait and if you're going out, you end up missing the 3rd period.

Understandable for a west coaster though

I think Botterill pretty much said the same thing. They have a strong leadership group and there's no need to rush to name a specific captain.
