For what it's worth, I thought Larkin looked really good last Friday? (The 1st TOR/DET preseason game) - markmark
Finally looks like a capable NHL center but I fell in love with Pastrnak during the WJCs that draft year. |

Can I actually take a stab at this?
If you're looking at a pure PPG number, is it not easier to score goals on a PP and more goals at scored on the PP/60 than EVN/60. If you play a higher proportion of PP minutes to Even Strength than another than it will inflate your PPG.
I'd like a stat that worked in PPG that somehow took into account the ratio of a players PP/EVN strength time. Idk though, I'm not a statistician so feel free to point out the faults in my argument (obviously) (it's actually really not even an argument). - RickJames77

I've never heard anyone say anything bad about a PK encounter. I think he's just legitimately a good dude.
#1 on my list of NHL bumholes, Corey Perry. - Jeffmt
Robin's buddy was at a golf course, and saw Dion Phaneuf kill seven babies and bbq them and eat them.
And the worst part?
He asked the chef to cook them "well done." |

Did Andrew Shaw kick your dog? I must know why he is numero uno. - RickJames77
your buddy Marchand belongs on that list , maybe Kadri is considered a douche as well but this guy should be at the top of the douche list.

So the legend is that Gordie Howe was as dumb as a post.
The Red Wings would horrifically lowball him on contracts, which he would sign.
Then every other guy in the league would get screwed, because if they ever asked for a good contract, the owner (of any of the six teams) would say, "What? You think you are better than Howe?" - Atomic Wedgie
Howe's wife trade marked Mr Hockey. Only reason he died wealthy. |

Power play stats can be misleading, Leafs were 2nd last year in PP % Boston was 7th (the net difference in PPG was 5 for the year! -big (frank)en deal) A goal is a goal. Gretzky scored, 92 goals in 81-82 - not sure how many analysts were asking how many were on the PP or how many went into an empty net. Who the (frank) cares? - winsix
You're looking at the teams PP stats, I'm just wondering who had a proportionally higher TOI during PP and whether or not it may have had an effect on PPG. I was simply pointing out you cannot project Nylander to produce better or have more upside that Pastrnak off of that stat. You're getting awfully defensive and aggressive over something that nearly everyone else agrees with, regardless of my stance on PP's effect on PPG. |

I actually didn't even know it was Shaw until a couple years later. He was with a posse of nobodies that were clinging to him for dear life. THE biggest losers wearing ROLLER HOCKEY JERSEYS. They came to a party at my friends' house and these guys show up and act like everyone should worship the ground they walked on because "MY BUDDY HERE GOT DRAFTED". They let everyone know about 60 (frank)ing times.
Anyways, we told them to (frank) off and kicked them out after about 20 minutes and one of them took a poop in the front entrance of the house. |

A lot of players do struggle on the PP as well though.
Take a look at Brayden Schenn. He is a great PP forward. Brendan Saad...not so much.
Saad had 52 5 on 5 points last year and 3 pp points. Does this make him an all star? Nope |

Fair enough, but he was demoted from the PP I believe? Anyways, I'm simply saying if you play a lot of PP time you're going to be on the ice for more goals (and maybe have a hand in them) because there's a higher propensity to score in those situations than 5v5. |

Just calmly explaing my reasoning - as you asked me to do. I think Pastrnak is excellent - all in all a sensational draft pick in a dismal year of drafting, But............
just like Patrick Maroon's agent is totally grateful to Connor ....... you know the rest. |

Back in the mid-90s, my buddy had a full-on hate for a 3rd-4th liner Leaf (can't remember his name - I'll try to figure it out).
My buddy's sister was at Montana's (does that bar still exist? Doubt it) and the Leaf sauntered up to the bar and started hitting on her. Told her he was a Toronto Maple Leaf (got his posse to confirm it) and then asked her if she wanted to take him outside to blow him.
Just mentioning the guy's name was enough to set my buddy off.
So yeah, we did - every chance we got. |

?
not sure where you are going with this. pastrnak can create his own time and space to get his lethal shot off.
maroon is a pylon (soon to be grossly overpaid plyon) that mcdavid uses to bounce the puck off of into the net. |
