Lets be real for a moment here.
Klefbom > Larsson.
You're talking about comparing a potentially elite defender (if he continues developing just a bit more) to at best, a top 2 defender (note: seen as a top 3 by some people). - EdmHockeyMan
Enjoy your time in hell... Lord Larsson would never be able to forgive the bullsh1t you're spewing! |

Very disgusting. "I'm young and have no experience, but because I've been on the internet since I was a child, I know everything and should be handed things and stuff on a silver platter".
That's what they think. Like (frank)ing JB. |

That's exactly what they say! And they want to be rewarded and have recognition for every little thing they do. They master the art of yanking that inch worm in their Pokemon pants, while drooling over gif images they've discovered of Lizzie Mcquire, and Hannah Montana, and they need a (frank)ing award because of it... Unbelievable.
Enlightened individuals like Leon and I (who worship Lord Larsson), understand who's really running the show in Edmonton. I pity all who have yet to accept Lord Larsson as their personal Lord and Savior. I pray that by the time you become aware, it is not already too late for you! Lord Larsson is much more forgiving than I... but even he has his limits. You have been warned. |

BLASPHEMY!!!!! You beg Lord Larsson for forgiveness AT ONCE!!!!! - laughs2907
When Lord Larsson weakens himself by taking on his "human form", he also actively withholds much of his power from his usual incorporeal state. I merely thought to speak of him in a way that non-believers would be able to see and understand. However, my words were thoughtless and neglected our lord (praise be unto his hallowed name) in a way that requires meditation.
I shall go on a pilgrimage and prostrate myself upon the floor of the temple of Lord Larsson (praise be unto him) until my sins can be forgiven. |

As for Pulj, I noted him as a hopeful. He has all of the right ingredients, he just needs to find a way to make it work.
Opinions on Nurse though? - EdmHockeyMan
Nothing to write home about. If he can have nights like the opener more often and start producing, he might become worthy of consideration for that second tier but as of now, he simply isn't worth that yet. Benning is ahead of him on the list of keepers as far as I'm concerned- though I doubt Chiarelli and co. are on the same page as me. |

Yeah.
I think we might be seeing another case of has all the right ingredients, but he just needs to find a way to make it work. He is still young, but honestly, if he can progress into a just top 4 (I see him hopefully as a replacement for Sekeras in the near time future, however by then Nurse might have competition with Jones), then that's good for me.

Sekeras is infinitely better than Nurse. If you see him as a replacement in the near future Nurse either has to make massive or we need to accept a downgrade.
You also forget that Brains are part of the ingredients, and Nurse lacks those. |

Honestly, Nurse just needs to develop his awareness a bit more. He needs to, like you mentioned, develop his in-game processing in a manner that allows him to implement his abilities in a fine and proper manner (know what to do in each situation; risk-assessment). Two big advantages Nurse has against Sekeras is skating ability and physicality. One big advantage Sekeras has over Nurse currently is awareness. Awareness can be learned over time (hence why defenders take longer to develop), however size and skating ability is a different story in most cases.
Nonetheless, he is still young, but this season is a big one for him. |

One thing I will note is that if Nurse develops into a solid top 4 defender, you will be getting a more mobile, physical defender. So, hopefully, if Nurse has (a)(couple) great season(s) of development, you might want to retract that statement.
Needless to say, we can't keep banking up on Sekeras to be the main top 4 guy forever. He is like 31? Either one of Jones or Nurse have to be ready once Sekeras' time is up or else we are in serious trouble in terms of defensive and asset management. |

Sekera is a quality 2nd pairing guy. (He’s actually Probably our 2nd best defender overall considering he’s got so much more offensive prowess than larsson
Nurse is a marginal nhl defender at present. At best a 3rd pairing guy
There’s no consideration of nurse taking that spot anytime soon |

Disagree. You can't fix stupid but you can improve in the physical aspects. I get what you're saying though. Sekeras is as good as he's gonna ever be and Nurse's skating and Physicality will ensure him NHL employment for 10 more years, even he's on the bottom pair. |

He’s got a bunch of the physical tools, but lacks so much between the ears in his own end.
I’m worried every time him and gryba are in our own end.
But he looked reasonably confident and effective on Wednesday. With sekeras injury, we know that top pair are gonna Have to be horses, but Todd will need to spread out the minutes some too. After a season of sheltering, maybe forcing nurse back into some tougher situations will be a good thing |

McDavid truly is the most exciting player in the game today - Codes1087
He is. A shame most of the viewers in Canada are on Eastern Time. Devs are my team but ill stay up to watch that kid play. He's the kind of superstar that pops up every 15 years. A treat to watch. One of those guys who you know has to win a cup. Its a team game, but that guy can walk almost any teams top players 3 times a night. |

Yes, hockey IQ is something you have, or you dont. That was why guys like jack johnson, and dion phaneuf peaked earlier than most would have thought. You can have a rocket, skate like the wind, and hit, but dumb is dumb. no changing that. Look at Lindstrom, mediocre shot, mediocre speed, never hit, unbelievable how he made a team gel. The puck will always move faster than the players. |

Iggy and Nurse have something in common and it isn't penis size. |
