I agree 100% and I will continue to say Kane should be with Reinhart. Of Kane's 11 shots...how many were high quality chances? I don't remember any. I do remember his shots ending shifts for that line a number of times. Eichel had 3 shots! Is that because he wasn't getting himself into situations where he could shoot? I don't think so...I think it's cause when Kane gets anywhere inside the blue line he's gonna shoot. And that's okay...for the most part...just not on Jack's line. He's robbing Jack of the chance to do what he does best and that's hang on to the puck and create. If you play with Jack you should be able to move the puck quick (ie Reino, ERod, maybe Griffith). Or get into the right spots to shoot (ie Pommer). If Reinhart is gonna stay at center...that's where Kane should be. Sometimes star players just don't mesh. I'm not taking anything away from Kane, he has a unique and valuable skill set...just doesn't work with Jack. - gipper0073
There were times Jack and Kane played really well together last year, and they were always at times when Evander shared the puck. Last night he didn't do as much of that as he has in the past - when it's gone well for them. It has been streaky, sometimes Kane remembers to share, sometimes he just shoots.
It would be nice to know what Housley is saying to that line. |

The NHL went out of their way to advise pegula to hire Botterill but didn't advise the golden knights not to hire the moron responsible for quite possibly the worst trade in the last decade? - Sabresfan-365

“Botterill was one of the names” is a very different thing than “the league went out of its way to advise the Pegulas to hire Botterill”.

point taken, but the original point itself had nothing to do with the sabres, was more about the knights. The post is exaggeration for effect. highlighting the fact that i cant believe they would advise the sabres but not the pet project in vegas.
Im recalling from memory since the youtube link i found is broken. |

Give a break, that's a play on words. If the NHL made any suggestion, that could be construed as going out of the way. Just saying.
What you think of the game? Not sure I saw any positives or negatives from you yet. We close? |

Well - did we ever consider maybe the league gave Vegas a list of names that included McPhee? Or another list that Vegas decided was not the guys they wanted?
I liked the Sabres play last night - but I laugh at myself because I woke up hoping somebody would post all that Corsi poop I usually hate. At the end of the night, regardless what the stats say, the scoreboard is the only thing that matters.
I’m excited to see how the d can serve as the foundation of a big step forward; I have real indigestion over the reality that my man Lenny battles through a ton of rubber but can’t keep out a fatal softy, and I’m really eager to see what will happen when these guys have played together for 15 or 20 games.
I think we’re going to be good this year. |

Please warn me before you make an on point, non humorous insightful post.

I would hope the NHL would never suggest McPhee to anyone haha but yes you never know. I just think if the NHL did help the Pegulas then it's fair comment is all. Nothing deeper than that.
Love the last sentence as always. Yeah I think 15-20 games in will show us and you're right about Lehner...he actually played well I thought outside of a puck taking a bounce up his skate. Just got in a bit of a battle with a friend about that goal and how Lehner was in position, but got the short end on it. |
